I heard Kagome's name means a game...what kind?

More accurately, her name is a game. Sort of like Farmer in the Dell or Blind Man's Bluff, I think.

One person sits blindfolded in the middle while the kids dance around in a circle singing. (The song starts with 'Kagome, Kagome' so the game is called Kagome.) When the kids stop the one in the middle has to guess who's behind him/her. If the guess is right, the kids switch places.

That's from Wikipedia, so I don't know how accurate it is.

I read once that there was actually no translation for Kagome's name; That the closest thing to her name is "kagami" - and that means "mirror."

Again, I'm not sure how accurate that is, considering I don't know Japanese.

I've heard that there isn't a translation for her name, too. But that 'kagami' bit is new to me.

Could be, though. After all, Takahashi-san is known for putting word plays in her characters' names. (Did you know that Ukyo is an area in Kyoto?)

Well, based on far the manga has gone, here is my guess on how Inuyasha will finally end:

Naraku will kill Kohaku, take his shard, corrupt it, become near god-like in power, and then start defeating everyone. Seshomaru will form a complete meidou, and then Inuyasha will use the Backlash Wave to knock Naraku into it. Naraku, being who he is, won't die from that, but his youketsu will become visible. Inuyasha slices it, Naraku dies completely, and then the Shikon Jewel will be all that's left. Sesshomaru will bring Kohaku back to life, seeing how he has yet to be revived by the Tenseiga, and then everyone will go their separate ways. Kagome will use the jewel, out of love, to become a hanyou and destroy the jewel forever. Everyone has a happy ending!

Show us otherwise on what? That there's no translation for Kagome's name? If you'll note, the translation of the song lyrics keeps the word 'kagome' as is.

And HyperTails, that's a very interesting hypothosis! I think I say a picture of Kagome as a hanyou once. It was a very professional looking piece of fanart. (She looked a bit like Chi from Chobits, though.)

my view of how it all ends is a little simpler:
kagome and inuyasha have a baby somewhere in there/miroku and sango get married. the inu/kag child ends up being the reincarnation of an ancient messiah from heaven, who was sent to earth years ago to defeat the demon spider, and in the battle she/he died trying to destroy him but he just scattered his body and soul across vast demons(the ones that consumed onigumo) One day 'inu/kag child' is out walking around when she comes upon a slightly older rin. the two get kidnapped by naraku and kohaku is to watch over them. he/she performs an exorcism in which she purifies the sacred jewel in his back completely. kohaku helps them escape but they no longer know where they are, then swarms of demons come after them. kohaku is knocked unconscious, and the inu/kag child is getting tired and running low on power so rin comes in with the sword that Sesshomaru gave her for her birthday. sensing the demonic aura that comes from the blade, Sesshomaru soon come in and slashes all the demons. Inuyasha and the group come in too(they were following sesshomaru) naraku in case everyone in a swirling vortex and drops them in a strange place(inside his hiding place) Now inside the his hiding place, InuYasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Kohaku, Sesshomaru, Kouga(don't ask), Rin, Jaken, and inu/kag child are greeted with a maniac's laugh.
