I don't get it. Why all the hipe over a simple country girl ?

and the dance steps they use at the end of each episode are just simple Line-Dance routines we used to do in the Bars back home durring the 80's
(( mind you, the dance steps the Anime is displaying are at about the same speeds we tryed to do them .. . sorta . .. ok, we were not THAT GOOD! ))

Today, I remembered the awesomeness of this serie and after rewatching the first two episodes, I preordered a Haruhi action figure. :D

Ok, Bandai could have done a better job of clarifying this but here you go

DVD 1: Episodes are 00, 1-3
These are chronological order, not Broadcast at all

DVD 2: Episodes are 4-7
AND Broadcast order 1-5 (whatever numbers those are)

STartint DVD two we will get the second disc containing the episodes in broadcast order, rather than getting it with DVD 1 so for those who want broadcast, dvd one is kind of a throwaway as of DVD 2 which will have the episodes in the broadcast order.

The rason I think BAndai did this is because if starting from the first disc you were to get broadcast and chronological you (in theory) could have the whole show by disc two, maybe three. Thus some people would stop buying the dvds alltogether because they would have all the episodes they need and sales would drop. By starting broadcast order on disc 2 they would be offsetting that and preventing you from having the whole show early.

I'd have to look and compare the orders though to see if the order backs up this theory.

If it was 'true' Kyon Chronological order, than the 2nd ep on the DVD should have been PLAYED first in the order.

WTH IS GOING ON?!?!

No, it's like 11 chronologically. The first six episodes in chronological order were all named "TMoSH [##]" (that is, from the first light novel).

That's a good point (though Haruhi's order is chronological, not Kyon's). If the rest of the series is in chronological order, why is that one not?
