Spoiler :
I hope personally that the after story will be a 24 eps anime, since there is a lot of stuff to show, but seeing how the school arc was, I think kyoani will make 13 eps and maybe an OVA.

Basically I think the other endings (Sanae, Akio, Fuko, Kouko, Yuuske, Tomoya’s dad) will be shown, but they will not get much screen time, although Fuko and Tomoya’s dad are important for the main story.

The game has two endings for the After Story. A “bad” and a happy one. When you first play the game and get the “bad” ending you’ll kinda feel down. For me even after seeing the happy ending the bad one had a bigger impact.
Since there is already a trailer from the after story, I thought at first that kyoani will adapt the bad ending. That would be awesome, since it is such an epic story.
(Well, at least it will be, if they make it possible like in the game to get familiar with the characters. I mean if there wouldn’t have been much stuff shown about Nagisa, I would care less about her dead. The same goes for Shio-chan.)

But then after re-watching the op of the first season, I came to the conclusion that Clannad ~After Story~ will have both endings. Well, at least I think so. It is fact that you can see in the trailer of the After Story the ending of the Bad Ending (Ushio is about to die in the snow while Tomoya huges her). But you see also the true ending of the game in the op where Fuko finds the girl of the Illusionary World after she sent her Friend (robot?) to save Nagisa’s life.

So My Opinion is that the After Story will have such a build up:

- Tomoya gets a new job after working a while in the Furukawa Bakery.
- He starts to live together with Nagisa in a flat.
- Nagisa get her own School ceremony with friends after being ill
- Town changes
- Tomoya’s father get in prison, Nagisa marry Tomoya after this
- Nagisa gets Job, a lot of other funny moment that will hopefully adapted
- Nagisa gets pregnant and sufferes because of her weak body; Story about Nagisa from Akio
- She dies while Ushio is born
- 5 years later Sanae get Tomoya to go on a trip with Ushio; both of them live after that together
- true story about Tomoya’s Dad
- Fuko appears and some funny stuff happens
- Ushio gets ill and Tomoya goes out with her in the snow and she is about to die
- Illusinary World: Girl explains about the lights and stuff to robot
- Back to the moment where Nagisa is about to die; She don’t die; short scenes of Nagisa, Tomoya and Ushio’s future <---------I’m curious how the scenes where Nagisa gets back to live will be in the anime
- Fuko and the Girl of the Illusionary World

These events will happen imo in the After Story. Certainly there will also more stuff happening. So yeah…those are my thoughts.
Well, I just hope for a decent adaption of the game O:
That would be interesting to see...
I Agree. The movie was great and almost made me cry near the end.

I.

So is there a date set for the release of season two?

I didn't want to spoil myself so I haven't really been keeping up with the thread.

There's nothing to worry about.

No set date has been announced yet. I rather not get into speculations since it may lead to false hope.

These days they have so many famed icons appear as cameos in from TV shows to Video games, Mario appeared in Futurama for example, anime is another type which appears as cameos, it makes everything a little more fun ^_^

Who agrees?

Season 2... i'll just wait patiently... i'll lurk within the darkness of their closets, waiting for it... the perfect chance, to strike my assasination target down...

Looks like I didn't miss anything extremely important from the thread during my absence. :D
No matter when the special episode and the second season will be broadcasted,I'll be there to watch them.I found a Nagisa figure in NY but didn't fall into the temptation of buying it(limited budget^^)...

:| Hasteroth, read twice before posting.

Now, for some speculations (sorry, angelx03, this is part of the fun :) )... I think that towards the end of august is more or less a possible date.
