SEED's future after D is up in the air. Between the animation director letting some comments slip on his LJ about many of the staff being pissed with the writing staff (most notably, Fukuda's wife, head writer Morosawa), the reports of low model sale turn-outs for D kits (...partly Bandai's own fault for saturating the market with ZAKU variants), and luke-warm ratings for the timeslot given...there's talk Bandai might just cut Fukuda loose and start fresh with a new timeline.
That said, if a third CE series arises, I hope it's with a new director who's a little less keen to play favorites. The blatant placing of Kira and Lacus on pedestals as well as the combat sessions consisting of 'Coordinator supermen are your superiors and if your parents didn't engineer you at birth, they only pretend to love you!' got pretty tiresome after about 15 eps...

I'd pick up some 'D' kits, but at least here there aren't any available in Master Grade. I'd dish out big bucks for a good Master Grade kit. Like Athrun's Savior, or Rey's Legend. The same was true with the original SEED. Although I did by the 1/100 Justice kit. If that had come Master Grade I would have been much happier.Heero_Yuy84 wrote:the reports of low model sale turn-outs for D kits (...partly Bandai's own fault for saturating the market with ZAKU variants)

Poor Saviour...as D Gundams went, it was a decent design... ...which barely got a chance to shine...
As for CE MGs...all I ask is an MG Astray Red Frame (just imagine...if they use the action frame they used for the MG God and Master Gundam kits, there'd finally be a Red Frame that could get put through all the motions Lowe put that sucker through)

I don't get the japanese obsession with model kits anyway. Modeling is pretty much dead here in the states they used to sell models at toys r us not anymore I wouldn't mind making one but rather just buying one if they sold them like 2 or 3 feet tall. Also how did Bandai figure they could market a toy line over here for Gundam seed when the show was only shown on cartoon network and it's not really for american kids to watch american kids watch episodic cartoons not long series. The amount of zaku variants is annoying I personally prefer the original zaku design from the first gundam even though it was ripped of cylon warrior it's still kick ass looking. Personally since I care more about these characters than the other gundam ones that I have seen I want to see if Kira and lacus get married and if cagalli and athrun will get back together. A happy ending is needed for this series if they just make one oav that would be great. For now I'll just watch legend of the galactic heroes to fill the void.

Actually, if all the pilots in the next Gundam series were 15 year old girls, I might start liking Gundam. The only thing that really stands out in Gundam Seed is Lacus Clyne and her cute little spherical robot. The best thing about Gundam Wing was Relena Peacecraft. So I would unconditionally support a Shoujo Gundam featuring 15 year old pilots.Mroni wrote:A 15 year old girl is in no way an 8 year old girl problem not solved.

And Mr. Oni is right, the original Zaku designs rule over their later versions.
