Re: New Dragon Ball TV Series CONFIRMED
The question is, where exactly do you go after the buu fight? We've got multiple fighters that can destroy planets with a sneeze, does that mean they just get even crazier? It's hard to keep the tension up in a fight when everyone is a completely overpowered badass.
I didn't like GT and never finished it but they did at least solve the overpowered problem by nerfing Goku, although that doesn't seem to be the case here.
Anyway, so long as it's from the original creator I'm fine with it. Definitely a must watch for any shonen anime fan

so they've remade Astro Boy, Sailor Moon, Full Metal Alchemist, Doremon, and now this. I'm sure this will be fun but it seems Japan is just as much out of ideas as Hollywood XD

Re: New Dragon Ball TV Series CONFIRMED
It's not a remake, it's a continuation and is based on the original manga. kind of like how the inuyasha anime had a second series continue the story 5 years after the first one finished.Dragonrider1227 wrote:so they've remade Astro Boy, Sailor Moon, Full Metal Alchemist, Doremon, and now this. You're right actually. Remake was the wrong word for this *facepalms* but it is still a revival of an old franchise. Not a bad thing. Just kind of interesting trend. Japan is just as nostalgic as the rest of us I guess. XD

Re: New Dragon Ball TV Series CONFIRMED
I will wait for the funimation dub to watch this series. In the meantime I will go watch Resurrection F movie which is already funimation dubbed.
