Deadman Wonderland
Title: Deadman Wonderland
Creator(s): Jinsei Kataoka, Kazuma Kondou
Plot: Ganta Igarashi has been convicted of a crime that he hasn't committed, and sent to a new, privately owned and operated prison, where the inmates are the main attraction in a modern day twist to the gladiatorial coliseums of ancient times. Throw in a healthy dose of weird little girl, some new-found super powers, and a little conspiracy theory, and you have Deadman Wonderland.
So currently, Deadman Wonderland is a stand-alone manga, although there has been news of an anime of it being greenlit, so I guess this topic could count for both the manga and the upcoming anime (if that's alright.)
I started reading this online yesterday by persuasion of a friend, and now I'm hooked. There's about 25 chapters out online translated so far, and I believe Volume 1 is being released for purchase in NA sometime in February 2010. The storyline seems pretty interesting so far, and it has likeable characters.
Plus blood, gore, and superpowers.8D
Does anyone else read this manga, or is planning on watching the anime when it comes out? =3

Looks interesting, I will probably check it out. The art style reminds me of "Eureka Seven".
I do all the right things for all the wrong reasons.

Re: Deadman Wonderland
That's because this was made by the same people who wrote and drew the E7 manga. =]
So far, 2 volumes of the setries has been released in English in stores. I'm very much wondering if they'll end up toning down that one girl's over-the-top line when she battles Ganta. Just how far will Tokyopop go to release the manga in its original form, I wonder (so far with the first 2 volumes, I don't think they've toned down anything.)

Re: Deadman Wonderland
I have a good friend that's pretty psyched about this. Might give it a shot.
