I use a mixture of VirtualDubMod (to capture the screenshots), Paint (to edit the pictures), and Easy GIF Animator (to make animated GIFs). Probably not the best way to do it, but you can get the first two programs for free (you can get VirtualDubMod with AMVapp here), and a trial of Easy GIF Animator herefei_mandalire wrote:Umm... can someone teach me on how to create my own avatar?
But, that probably isn't the best technique out there. With paint, you'll nedd a method of going by pixels, so the image isn't shakey.
The only good thing about this method is that it is cheap, especially if you never turn off Easy GIF Animator, to get a longer trial period.

I took a loot at it, while interesting, and extremely easy to use, even a small 80x80 avatar was typically even a still image such as this:EmilLang1000 wrote:If you guys wanna make an Avatar, go to http://www.animegalleries.net ; you can make them there

is slightly too large to fit the site, however the site DOES have a plethora of galleries to choose from, save and optimize.
Personally I like the challenge of making something that looks, at least decent and yet still has miniscule proportions, like this Elfen Lied avatar.

I'll probably just write up a small site tutorial when I finish my recent 'owed' ops.
