I was just working with some Excel Saga footage and found this.

Ok, so if you've seen Excel Saga you probably remember this image from episode 2

But the FIRST frame of the shot is this

This is during one of those geometric impact graphics, can't remember which episode. I actually noticed there was something different while watching it the second time through, must've been the flash of blonde. I think this was just a single frame, guess I got lucky.

I just noticed this in Haibane Renmei. During this scene Kana is eating a noodle. Between these two frames the boiling pot is shown. However, look at where the characters and the pots are positioned compared to the background in the two frames.
