I think I got yours mixed up with maru-sha. My bad. She gets the credit for the amusing wrongsauce. I humbly apologize. And no, your clips were great the way they were.

Eee!! Conan and Tutu? Can't wait to see those. x3RanMouri82 wrote:Erm, no, I don't. ^^*
Are you sure those weren't someone else's clips? Mine were of Princess Tutu and Detective Conan: Magician of the Silver Sky (Movie 8). Nothing above PG there, unless you count the two seconds of Ahiru's bare backside--which I can certainly edit out.

By the by, peeps, I've submitted apps to AMA and Otakon for AMV Salad panels (for the first video). I need to check in with Anime Expo about Maru-sha moderating a panel on her coast. TekkoshoCon is a lock, though. I'm waiting for the time slot.
And I got a message from John Westbrook of Otakon which said there most likely wouldn't be a problem fitting the Second Serving somewhere in programming.
"As long as a crap load of new and totally awesome fan
parodies don't come in (which is doubtful as you can not churn out a parody
like you can an AMV) then I don't currently see a reason why we can't
include it somewhere."
A opening sequence is in the works and a rough draft of such will be available by the end of the week. I haven't heard from =DarKNesS= lately about it, but I'm sure we'll be collaborating on the final outcome...

SOS! (Not Brigade)
Hey guys, something odd happened the other day when I was trying to use .VOB files in Vegas Movie Studio 8. For certain DVDs, I was able to upload files directly and save as MPEG-2, but I mistakenly thought it would work for all DVDs. Only now did I learn about decryption and--alas--about DVD Decrypter's demise. The tutorials on this site aren't helping much, and I'm wondering what you guys do. Do I need a converter or something?
There's little time left to add clips, and this roadblock is pretty darn frustrating.

Re: SOS! (Not Brigade)
From my experience, I see people using AVIsynth when using DVDs. Since my Vegas seems to like telling me "video stream attributes could not be determined" for AVI files, I have to convert to mpeg2 so I can use it. Unfortunately, that results in an IMMENSE file size (over 1GB per episode). It sounds like you have a non-multi-region-friendly disc. Is it an import?RanMouri82 wrote:Hey guys, something odd happened the other day when I was trying to use .VOB files in Vegas Movie Studio 8. Also, there are less than three months to get clips in before post-production. The opening sequence is almost ready. I should have a link posted here tonight...

Thanks for the rec! I'll check into it ASAP. (Not an import, just an ol' fashioned rental copy. Maybe it depends on the company and how they encrypt--or don't encrypt--their DVDs?)deuceloosely wrote:From my experience, I see people using AVIsynth when using DVDs. The opening sequence is funny, good-looking, and quite promising. I loved the look of the AMV Salad title. Somehow, a teeny flash of subtitle might've slipped in, and it would be great to insert some random salad imagery again, but this is quite fine indeed. ^_^
