Just go through with your ideal when you are ready to run it.
If you have all your deatails and mix set up, then you should have some people

The problem I have with band based MEPs is that most of it is the same editting - same type of songs. My advice to keep it fresh and entertaining is to ban the following MEP overdone anime to force more creativity and reviewability:

Cowboy Bebop (series + movie)
Yu Yu Hakwhatever
DBZ, DBGT
X1999 (or substitute it for X TV)
FLCL
Akira
NGE (movies + series)

Surprising Bleach and Naruto aren't used that much because people are under the assumption that they are and ignore them

People might accept you into THEIR MEP endeavors
People might not ridicule you when you want to be taken seriously.
