Seeing as how the Olympics are coming up, I would like to propose a MEP to run from now to the end of the games. Using the opening bit from the music above (basically up through 0:46), have your favorite anime characters showing off their olympic spirit. Sports, national pride.... Canada. Basically, imagine the IOC walked in your door and asked you to make them a promo sequence.

Anyone interested?

It's not a particularly collaborative MEP, really more of a film fest, or a contest with no prizes...

I'm already planning a film of my own, just working on gathering materials.

For reference, the song is "Olympic Fanfare and Theme" by John Williams and was written for the 1984 Summer Games in Los Angeles (It starts with a section from Leo Arnaud's "Bugler's Dream," which was used by at least US telecasts of the Olympics since the 1968 Summer Games in Melbourne, which sometimes results in the entire Williams arrangement being tagged as "Bugler's Dream"). Much better than the one Williams wrote for the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta ("Summon the Heroes").

I did a video using the song quite a few years ago and have been slowly gathering the sources to remaster it for a couple years now. This might be the time to finally see if I've got everything and do it if I have.
