IIRC it was because of an error in the anime itself, or maybe the 'sunlight changed'. It is not a glitch in the encoding. It's a bit of background that turns from green to blue.
The other thing I'm not to happy about is when someone tilts up his head (again, there's a shot of the other person in between) in one frame to another.

These two faults can be solved with having either a png overlay, or with a mask. The first part I'm able to do easily, but the mask thing I haven't done a lot of times. I don't really edit that much

The last thing that I want to change is the lip sync in the beginning. From about halfway in the lip sync is fine, but the beginning has a bit to much lip movement. It's kind of watching a Bruce Lee movie.

Anyway, I'll prolly send in a v2 someday, but I'm not really sure when I have enough time to fix this. Might do it sooner rather than later though.
I also went through my 'themes' folder, there's enough potential there for another couple of clips :)

For those interested and attending Katsucon in less than two weeks,...

AMV Salad 3
Saturday 10pm
Live 3

The AMV Salad 4 folder is still pretty light. There are three months left to post-production.

Stargate Resistance is released on Feb. 10th, so theoretically after that my responsibilities will diminish and I can finally focus directly on more than generating ideas. I have a few I am certain I want to do, and others I'm still deciding on. I'll do my best to provide my best in a timely manner.

You may want to send out another round of PMs to those who have promised support though :) A reminder couldn't hurt.

I'll have my first hopefully ready soon, I decided that I didn't have adequate footage to get what I wanted specifically, so I'm doing another round of searching.

I still would very much like for you to submit AMVS3 to Otakon again this year. The other two got two runs, why not this one? ^^

Actually, the reason the other two were played so often was the way they scheduled the parodies. They chose to air the same block of parodies all three showings whereas last year they kind of packed the schedule and showed a couple of full-length OVA parodies both nights. Because of that, they only had room to play it once. Whether or not they plan on scheduling the same way this year is anyone's guess. I'll see what they say when the submissions open.

For the sake of not clearing the room, let's hope that they don't show those again. The Fist of the North Star parody was terrible, and a 30 minute gay joke that was just so bad that it wasn't even worthy of being offensive to gays (as claimed by my gay friend).

The live action Cowboy Bebop one was... well, if it weren't for seeing that my friends and I wouldn't have the 2-minute chocolate milk inside joke. They literally spent 2 minutes on a scene where some guy makes chocolate milk from scratch, spending the time to get the hershey's syrup together and pour the milk in real time, without even cutting, and proceeding to very elaborately prepare said beverage in vivid detail. The spoon stir was even a good 10-20 seconds. Although that particular film did grant a scene where people in the audience actually screamed the lines from my Death Note clip ^^ "F***ing jump!"

So yeah... resubmit AMVS3 for the love of sanity. Someone there will recognize "Hmm... ass, or something decent. Hey guys, do we want ass?"
"I don't think so, it smells like ass..."
"Okay, yeah, I agree, AMVS3 is by far better than ass."

...yep, I'm sure that's the exact conversation Pyson is a part of ^^

Just so y'all know, I'm claiming the Scrubs TV theme song. Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan will provide the scenery. If I have my way, I'll have someone submitting a Psych TV opening as well.

Just sayin'. :book:

AMVS3 update:
Katsucon presented a first for this series. The room we were given posted a capacity of 70 people...and we still had to turn no fewer than 30 people away at the door. While I hate the idea of people in line having to miss it, I also know about fire safety codes and all.

Also, there is ALWAYS a guy in one of the main hallways at every con showing AMV hell styled video projects to a usually large captive audience. I happened to walk by Friday night and hear "On a Boat" playing and turned around to see the Gurren Lagann clip playing. I guess he downloaded it from the 'org. :D Talk about publicity...I should have taken his name and thanked him for taking AMVS3 to places I probably haven't been. So, apparently, we have someone out there spreading the Salad around for us.

I just approved one new show theme and sent a request for another (which was in the Katsucon AMV contest finals). Remember that we also need "regular" clips as well. Show clips and commercials are preferred but I won't be against a song clip here and there.

There are 2 1/2 months left..!

Hey, as I messaged you, I've got some ideas flowing. I whipped out a really quick really simple doctor who cowboy bebop thing, not too great in terms of editing, but it gets the job done. Just a bunch of clips of the Swordfish in flight to the Doctor Who theme. I'll send you a copy once i bother to render it.
