Immortal Blade

The anime choice is restricted to samurai-esk series/themed vids, what else to say?

Anime:
ReXMaster - Ninja Scroll
Autraya - Samurai Deeper Kyo
Lockstock - Fate Stay Night
Requiett - Samurai Champloo
Music: "Immortal" by Adema .wav

A few rules:
you must use huffyuv for your final submission
you must de-interlace
4:3 only all 16:9 must be letter boxed, 640 X 480 pls
fps =29.97
NO WMM!
No samurai X ova (well the first 2 and the kenshin tv series) and no naruto
Intermediate editors and above only, if you are not sure let me know you are interested and I'll have a look at your work.

UPDATE 1/7/07 (yes non-american date)-

.1 -.52 = Rexmaster - Done - HUFFY received
.50 - 1.30 = Lockstock - Done -HUFFY received
1.28 -2.15 = Autraya - Done - HUFFY received (well duh!)
2.13 - 2.46 = Requiett - Done - Lagarith recieved
2.43. - 3.13 = Rexmaster - Done -HUFFY received
3.10 - 3.22 = Lockstock - Done - HUFFY received
3.20 - 3.32 = Autraya - Done - HUFFY received

Not that part of RK the RK movie or reflections only or you can have samurai 7. I'm trying to avoid overused anime as much as possible.

I'm going to Japan in Mid -March so I'd like to have this finished before then.

I'm trying to keep a meiji era style theme so if you can cut out the guns from grenaider sure

i should be able to get it to you by then. im in the middle of my own Samurai Champloo video right now so that sorce is ready to go. just gota throw some lens flares and star wipes and i should be good.

just to let you know. this is my first MEP, but i think i can handle it. any more specific instructions as far as the edit?

Just PM me or post here if you run into trouble... you should be fine though.

Some more specifics: Uncompressed audio only in .wav format, I'm using the american album version of the song... and I don't know of any other versions I've uploaded an mp3 version here so just check it against your version to make sure we've all go the same audio. (yes I know mp3 is compressed.... that's for any smart arse who wants to spam this thread)

16:9 I forgot to mention you don't have to letterbox you can crop as well.

No subtitles.

Unless you have the very ending do NOT fade out just edit the way you like I'll splice them together.... I'm not saying that you have to fade at the end just that the very last segment is the only place you should. The same goes for the begining and not fading in (except with the first piece).

I've also been thinking about Basilisk, lotsa ninja, now I've only seen the movie shinobi and the were quite a few "samurai -esk bits but it was mostly a ninja anime so as samurai -esk as you can make it would be appreciated... I'm planning a Ninja vs samurai MEP but not for a few months... that being said if anyone steals that idea *aims shot gun*

It would be good if you can all use megaupload or something similar to get your final pieces to me.
Also I'm happy to beta for you but if you've got others you can to to beta for you feel free to lean on them too... I'm having a lot of trouble getting aim to work (lotsa server errors)

yeah, can you cut the song into sections? if not then i am gonna need a copy of the song

oh, and i was also wondering if i could switch my anime to grenadier? my basilisk dvds wont seem to hurry up and get here. the main character isnt a samurai but one of the semi main characters is. if not then ill just work with what ive got with basilisk
