It depends on Minion's recording setup. If he's using something on the level of a PC headset, then it's probably not going to get much better and I'll see what I can do with it.

Only comment I have on the audio clips at this point is that I still think Lou Bega's a little on the loud side, but get somebody else's opinion on that before you change anything. I might be biased, due to the fact that it's my line he's stepping on. :P

I really don't know what else to say about the BGM selections until I see what you had in mind for the visuals to go along with them.

nice mixing. i like it.

he's right about that last segment. i'll PM you some re-recordings tomorrow.

i used a headset, but i didn't really screw with the setup since that track was supposed to be an audition, and then i was gonna record the "real" one later.
i'll see if i can get it any cleaner.
KioAtWork: I'm so bored. I don't have class again for another half hour.
Minion: masturbate into someones desk and giggle about it for the remaining 28 minutes

-lol- Great timing. My finals just ended yesterday. Now I have some time on my hands! No, nothing new. The audio track is still screwed up. I think I need some help fixing it. If it can't be salvaged, I'll need to remake it---this time without wearing earbuds.

In the interests of preventing this thread from falling off the face of the earth before the trailer's finished: any news on this project?

I finally got off my ass and found my audio files for this project. I couldn't remember where I put them after transferring to my new laptop. I put everything I have in a .zip. This includes an .mp3 of the entire audio track. I couldn't find the .wav, but I do have the Audacity project files in there to make the .wav. Sorry if it's a little unorganized.

I'm working on some other projects right now including a movie project and some artwork. I don't have time to fix the audio right now. If anyone wants to give it a shot, download the files and go for it. If not, I'll get to it eventually, but it's at the bottom of my to-do list.

Like hell I'm going to let this die

Finally got around to checking out the ZIP archive, and... sorry, but I can't use this. It needs:

- Uncompressed version of the narrator's lines
- Some of the BGM is missing, like that song that plays at the end that sounds like it's by Train; even the BGM that *is* included is in MP3 format, so if you've got uncompressed versions of those, that would be great
- Need at least the record scratch effect and the firefight audio, and what sounds like "I hate robbing banks"?
- Need a project file for the first half, not just the second half, so I can see where everything goes
- I also don't see the uncompressed versions of some of my lines, which I know I have and I thought I sent to you; if anyone else wants to take a crack at this, let me know and I'll send them over

I'm sorry about that. I'll take another look on my computer, but I've once again switched to a new laptop and then reformatted it after two or three months. I'm pretty sure what I uploaded is is all that I have, though.

Re-Take!

Post by electiveinsanity » Tue Oct 23, 2007 3:32 pm

I'm going to try to contact everyone individually later, but if you did voicework for this project, I need you to re-record your part and submit it as an un-compressed .wav file or an Audacity project file if you wish to do it that way. Part of the reason the audio track was messed up was because of compression issues... The other part is just because I suck.

Scintilla is going to handle the audio this time; he actually knows what he's doing. I think we may wind up with a decent finished product, now.

I'm sorry to ask everyone to re-record. If you don't want to, please let me know. After I contact everyone individually, if I don't get a response from an individual within one to two weeks, I will assume that person is not interested in re-recording and look for a replacement.
