I wonder if that refers to me...? xD;; I'm working on uploading my AMV Hell rejects to megaupload for you. I originally had just posted two of them online before Katsucon, but I've already removed them from there after coming back from the con. (I think both vids only had 15 views total.) One of my rejects I hadn't bothered posting at all.

Anyway...clips sending your way:

Anime - Artist - Song

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - Koji Kondo (The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess) - "Malo Mart Castle Branch" <---anyone who's been in the store in TP should get this joke. =w=;;

Ouran High School Host Club - Bill Hayes - "The Ballad of Davy Crockett"

Detective Conan: The Last Wizard of the Century - The Clash - "I Fought the Law" <---this is the one I never bothered uploading

The full title of my clip is actually "Kaitou Fought the Law and it Kicked His Ass". xD;;

It was mine, most likely...

I see no one's missed me. :wink:

:P

Seriously, I am awaiting more material to fill this video up some. As it stands currently, I estimate we have around five minutes so far. There are but four months left until post-production and this schedule must stay on track no matter what.

skyedream75:
Is your Katsucon AMV on the 'org? I still want to see what I can use from it. The clips you sent were cute and amusing. I needed that to counter...

RanMouri:
...wrong wrong WRONG! :lol: It looks like we're gonna be at least PG-13 again. Just be careful we don't venture too far into 18+ territory, okies?

We still gonna show this at AX 2008?
If by "this" you mean the first Salad, it's still possible. I have yet to hear from the panel people or the video programming staff there, but I'll keep trying.

There are still several producers who have yet to submit their first clip as well. Sure we're here to have fun but, if you hadn't noticed, the annual convention tour circuit is a serious thing. The people at Otakon are already hyping their con to be a really big deal this year, so I want us to have something to show there.

I'm overjoyed for those of you who have been faithfully bringing the crazy to this project, but the rest of you need to at least get started. ;)

Hey I've got some great news! I just recently changed jobs, and one of the benefits is that I get to work in the dealer's room for Otakon!

YAY!! I'm totally going to be there for this! Let's just hope I don't screw up in the near future.

BTW, I was unable to make it to Katsucon, so how did it go?

Dezbo21: here's how it went.
deuceloosely wrote:UPDATE:

I'm back from Katsucon and I have to say the Salad was very well-received by somewhere between 80-100 people; maybe more. I didn't count. :P

The best reactions came from the clips using Death Note, Eva, FMA ("Freddie Got Fingered," "Ed's Very Useful Scientific Facts"), ...Haruhi Suzimaiya, InuYasha / Witch Hunter Robin,...well, there were many highlights. I may have also attracted at least one new producer to the Second Serving.

Next stop for the Salad tour: TekkoshoCon VI
Date: April 11-13
Time slot and location: TBA

Way to go, kids! Keep those clips coming...
Yeah, I kinda noticed your absence. I tried to say a few words about the project before the showing. After about ten minutes, the speaker which the mic was hooked up to began making weird noises, like someone's rave cell phone ring tone was interfering with it. I got the hint after the second time I was interrupted by this nuisance and so I started the video.

Hopefully, I can make the debriefing more brief and the audience members will be better-behaved next time. :roll:
