- AMV Hell 4 -

When I converted my videos to AVI, one 10 sec clip was nearly 40 Mb in size so I had no choice but to convert them to wmv.
Does this break any rules.

WMV files will be deleted without even being watched. I'm not joking.

i can conver them for you, if you wanted the help? but yes as luke said wmvs were posted as being deleted right away. what program are you using anyhow?

Yeah, my first entry (22 sec.) ended up at 229 MB.

I followed their guidelines down to every detail, so I guess they're expecting them to be this big. (understandable since once the clips are done and released in the final AMV Hell 4.avi, the clips will have been re-encoded so many times that having them smaller when they receive them wouldn't look very nice in the final product)

Its only that big because you didn't use the correct codec I believe. I think it compresses it, but im not sure, I only started learning alot of stuff a month ago.

My biggest clip is 30 seconds long and its only 6 mb.

Well, I never experimented with Huffyuv, but I used Xvid and thats how mine came out.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll give XVID another try for my last clip that I'm editing while my other entries are uploading. (Hope its not too late O.o)

I've tried XVID before, but I think there were several problems... *cant remember* Will give it another shot though.
