I've finished my video, but it's in .wmv format. When I saved it in .avi format, it was 200MB, and when I tried saving it in a huffyuv codec, it was over 700MB. What can I do about this?
Here's the video:

EDIT: Also, are we allowed to display our video before the MEP is completed? Like, not entering it in contests or anything, but just showing it to friends and such?

As a straight uncompressed AVI the file will be big. Huffys are monstrous as well. What you have is about the average. Mine was 800mb when I exported it from Premiere. You can try taking the huffy and compressing with XviD. That can get the file size down to under 100 or maybe even 50 mb if it is well filtered. And be sure to use compressed audio. *MP3, not WAV. That can shave up to 20MB from the final video. I got mine to about 30MB in the end. 24mb using x264 but Osaka can't play that.Kayley. wrote:I've finished my video, but it's in .wmv format. Bastard having me compress it again for two hours.
IF you want to know more about this check out <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... html">this page</a> for more information.
I'm not sure what Osaka's thoughts on that are. I guess as long as they are not on the org it should be fine. But I'll leave it to Osaka.Kayley. wrote:EDIT: Also, are we allowed to display our video before the MEP is completed? Okay! I don't know why I hadn't tried it already. I should have figured it wouldn't be like that 1GB file that I can't actually upload anywhere. =/

I think my vid might be suited better for Comedy rather than Rock though. ^_^; Unless it's entirely based on music choice.

You can show others your finished work with youtube or somehing similar, but I would prefear you not to show it to anyone on the org or tell anyone on the org about it being on youtube.Krisqo wrote:I'm not sure what Osaka's thoughts on that are.
