K, watched your tack deuce. Whats wrong with it is the fact that I could be more entertained just watching the damned movie. You brought nothing new to the tabel, and as kev said it just appeared as though no effort were put it, plus the lip synch was terrible. I could see this as maybe a rough beta but as your finished product? no no no.

First, damn my eyes anyway. I was certain I had that shit lined up right. :(

Second, especially in the beginning lyrics, the guy's arm with the gun is swinging, Short of splitting each mouth flap and messing with the timing, the difficulty is making sure his arm doesn't look twitchy or like it's changing speed at random.

Third, I understand about being entertaining, but no one is saying HOW. What EXACTLY is needed here for this track? I tried to follow the lyrics as far as the material would allow. And the more I dug into this, the more I realized there isn't much that can be done with this track. There's a reason no one has picked it up and finished it.

I dunno. What is everyone else doing with their tracks? Have they followed the lyrics, a theme, or gone on their own and improvised? Just a bit of guidance in terms of what the executive producer has in mind for this track in particular would be helpful...

A Good Mix of lyric synch, beat synch, a good match-up with pace and intensity of the song, maybe some nifty and interesting catches....and the spasm soad are made of.

watching again and there are some small obvious things that could have made this better...better beat synch is one of those small fundamental things. During the last part with the scene on the monorail starting at about 1:13... you have these major beats sounding and a point of impact in the anime happening AFTER them. Spyke kicks vince in the face like half a second or more after a loud drum/guitar/bass moment, he punches after, the gun lands after.. all this can be fixed by simple tweakings of the source that can provide some better internal synch that would make at least that part better to watch and be engaged in, not only this, but like was said before...or maybe not idk, there needs to be more, well, action. There is hardly any impact in this track and you're working with a SOAD song, this track almost makes me wonder if you were given like an acoustic cover to work with and then just put the original audio over top after you were done... idk.

I swear I'm gonna redo my track and make another track some day. I kinda want to see my old track again (along with a few others) hahaha.

*heavy sigh*

Lemme go back to find better scenes and work on the timing some. Should I go for just beginning-to-end action and forget about trying to represent the lyrics altogether? Something about "catch" was also mentioned, so something graphic or extreme near the end..?

This is a challenge, dammitall, and I wanna be sure I have it in me to undertake this thing...this EVIL thing...

So for the past few months I've been like "The acronym in that mep's title keeps reminding me of System of a down" And then today I check the first post for about the third time, and I'm like "hey wait, this is system of a down." And then I look, and lo and behold, every track with a song I like has been taken for who knows how many years.

But it's cool you guys are doing a SOAD mep.
