I've ran into some problems with my Hancock bit. I'll still be turning in a Hancock bit....but not the one I originally started...because somehow....the project files got corrupted T_T

So, I'll have something to turn in soon.

If possible, try to use an image of the product. Alter the product name on the visual if you want. I want the "3x" version of the commercials. When they do their short thing at the end about being sold at stores or whatever, maybe use a still frame of the anime you're using in the background with the product on screen. It's a suggestion.

To that end, maybe I should provide a image file of the product for that purpose?

Boy, I think I chose a tough theme...

sry about the silence I have been buzy with life and making full length AMVs. BTW how do I Upload them onto this site. I have the Filezilla but have no idea how to use it. And don't worry I will start on the small ones for this very soon. Sorry but they will be made in movie makers, but I will save them as DV-AVI and I will not post them to my other sites till after Otakon. If you need me Sakuraslight has my IM address. And yes if you like you make ask him or me for it.

Just sent in another submission from myself.
It's not a commercial, but a 'normal' one. I'm still working on the commercials.
The amv uses death note, if you haven't seen it yet, it's a huge spoiler :P

I'm wondering how many submissions you have?
At the moment there aren't many editors who've sent something in, if I'm not mistaken?

TwilightChrono:
I apologize for not having responded to your PM. Thing is I don't have IM and my computer probably wouldn't cooperate with me at the time for trying (at least not until I can replace the hard drive - easy enough). Explain as best you can through gmail what the trouble may be. We'll work it out.

EVERYONE ELSE:
I've opened this to everyone on the MEP forum but I'll post it here.

You know those spots after commercials on [adult swim] when they show a viewer question or remark and [as] answers?

Think of this as [amvs3].

We need your questions and remarks. If you have original fan artwork (can be a crossover or some other random alteration), we can work that in as long as your submission relates to it.

Your submissions and the responses will be included in AMV Salad 3: Three Bean Casserole.

Please leave your entries on this thread. Thanks...

Yo, kids...

We have just shy of three months left in production and not much material to show yet.

Out of 16 editors who have pledged material, only seven (not including myself) have submitted video.

To this point, we have about six minutes of material, not including opening / closing sequences. I'll probably add up to a minute of my own works, so let's assume all we have right now is seven minutes running time.

I may just be panicking but I want this series to be a continuously improving and expanding one. I never figured it would come to a third video, but the viewers I meet at the conventions have been enthusiastic and the rooms get more crowded every year. The quality of AMVS3 will certainly surpass its predecessor, as next year's project will do this one.

Speaking of next year, I have already thought of the theme. It should be easier to come up with material for, as well as potentially more OMG-inducing. The tentative title is "AMV Salad 4: Your Just Desserts." It's love and romance gone horribly wrong. Bad breakups, deaths, cheaters, complaints about the boy/girlfriend,...you name it. It's kind of up in the air, as we need to finish THIS one first.

And on that note, I have an idea for the opening of AMVS3. A Law & Order sequence. These opening monologues are just rough copy. I'm open to suggestions.

Original L&o version:
"In the privacy of our homes, AMVs were created using two separate, yet equally important, elements: the anime which illustrates the crime against good taste and judgment, and the music which inspired the offenses. These are some examples." *donk donk*

SVU version:
"On the convention circuit, some anime-based music videos are considered especially heinous. In this continuing series, the dedicated editors who instigate these vicious travesties are members of an elite franchise known as a-m-v.org. These are some examples." *donk donk*

The "Criminal Intent" version would be too short.

Anyway, whaddya think? Any other ideas?

Let's git goin', y'all...

If you're talking about submitting your clips to the 'org, it's best you don't. I probably don't have to tell you that full AMVs are preferred here (which do include whole commercials, trailers, etc).

Anyway,...
1. You need an account with animemusicvideos.org because these forums are a separate entity.
2. Go to "Enter New Video" on the menu to the left.
3. Follow the instructions and fill in the blanks.
4. Now go to "Upload Video." This is where you get "permission" to send your work to the 'org.
5. Follow the directions for FTP use. I recommend Filezilla for this purpose.
6. Give your video a few minutes to process, then go to "My Profile View."
7. Look for your video toward the bottom of the page and click on the title.
8. See the little mark next to the word "Information?" Click that and copy the ID tag.
9. Now come back to the forum and go to "Video Announcements" to let the world know you have something to share.
10. Expect a few replies along the way. Accept with dignity the constructive criticism and ignore any "fail" or other pithy remarks.

...and that's about it. ;)

Thank you I tried that I couldn't figure out how to use Filezilla, Maybe I just need to try harder, and yes I was trying to bring here some of the AMVs I made and put up on you tube, into my new account since the old one was closed. I was told higher quality here.
