The way I get audio from stuff I haven't downloaded is going to You Tube, playing the video, and recording the audio with something like Audacity (open source shareware). I then save the recording as mp3 and voila!..instant ripped audio.

It's approaching crunch time and I'm wondering if anyone is receiving alerts when this thread is updated. I'm about to PM or email everyone on the current Salad roster to remind them about the upcoming deadline (June 1).

You all do remember that post-production begins on June 2, right? Just making sure.

Anyway, send me whatever you have because more clips are needed to fill time. Don't rush it and leave the comedy behind, though...

So I was gonna do this one myself, but I've run out of time and still can't get my RAWs to work for some reason...plus I've been working on 5 new clips recently (will send this weekend probably).

Anyway, here's a quick clip anyone can do as long as you have Samurai Champloo Episode 15 (RAW or in English). Using the song "Can't Buy Me Love" by the Beatles, make a short clip of Mugen and Jin using their fake gold to buy girls in the red light district. I figure you could just use the lines "I don't care too, much for money...money can't buy me love" and maybe a bit of the following refrain if you want.

I thought this idea was hilarious, and it shouldn't be too taxing to complete. It would be a shame to let this one slip by, so I thought I'd offer it up to anyone. I'd really like to see this clip in the final product. Won't somebody make my dreams come true??? (Hand to forehead and dramatic pose)

Gah, I totally wasn't receiving updates. I'm gonna try to upload my clips and finish some more. I can't remember which I sent you, so I'm just gonna reupload em all again.

Thanks to all who have responded to my pleas for clips by sending some in! I'm going to email anyone who has already contributed but haven't been heard from in a while about the approaching deadline.

Seriously, I won't have room to extend the final date by even a day.

This site has had some serious issues with people not receiving alerts to thread updates. I'm a hair away from contacting the admins about it.

If we get 15 minutes, start to finish, from this year's compilation I shall be satisfied.

As far as AMV Salad 3: Three Bean Casserole, there will be a theme. Submissions will be accepted starting the Monday after Otakon. Stay tuned for further details *heh heh*...

STATUS REPORT

I am beginning the construct of AMV Salad 2 while awaiting what I HOPE will be the final rush of last-minute submissions. I will be also putting the closing credits together so, if you haven't already, get those production tags in!

I'll post again soon about how much video we have thus far...

BTW, AMV Salad is a go for AMA in three weeks...

Hey there, I'm one of the guys who was at the AMV Salad panel at Tekko.

Are submissions still open? I've got at least one clip I've been anxious to submit for AMV Salad 2. Unfortunately my computer's been fritzy till late, so I'm just starting work on the clip (should be done before June 1st).
