okay now my videos are freezing even with kmplayer. (now including xvid files)

every now and then I get this message

" winamp library error
error updating DB file on disk. This should never really happen.
retry cancel"

try re-installing x-vid and it didn't help.....what the HADES is going wrong here???!!??

System restore to before problem happened? Problem solved?

well 1) I'm using vista and have no clue how to do a system restore. and 2) this problem started weeks ago. plus system restore has never helped me with anything.
