I think it's well known that I'm blind as a bat when it comes to video screen sizes, especially after 1am

And uh... I still want to see betas. Betas are a sign of progress. Progress is good.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

All right, TJ's video gets the collective nod. So Song... be ready for a little more recording. :P

I should have a beta of my video up this weekend...

Hmm... we should make a decision about this widescreen commentary voice thing soon... though I'm still not quite sure how to go about that...

I think we still haven't established the availability (that's of voice, time and equipment alike) of anyone besides me for certain. Like I said, I'm up here doing my thing. In fact, I'm gonna be practicing these nar... commentary tracks again in just a few minutes. But I'm more than willing to give the job over to anyone else who sounds less silly than myself

And I'm glad my plug worked :P

I'm pretty sure I'll have plenty of time between now and the end of the month. After that, all bets are off.

hey the otakon schedule is up.
http://www.otakon.com/con_schedule.asp

looks like the amv panel is roughly the same time, saturday 10am to 12:30ish pm. the main amv contest is 11pm with seating starting at 10:30 pm.

as an arbitrary suggestion for a meeting place, let's try to meet next to the leftmost door of the panel room (facing the panelists) by 10am on saturday. and if some of us don't find each other before the panel, look for each other after the panel (12-12:30) so we can get lunch together.
meeting for the main amv contest on friday will be harder because of the size of the event and the long wait. but an arbitrary suggestion would be the south (harborside) entrance by 10pm on friday that leads to the food court (i think it's on the second floor). please leave any comments on meeting times and locations.

also, i'll give out my cell upon pm like songbird. hope to see those of you who are going there.

as for my video... it's seen a little progress. more to come soon.

Since I'm not going on Friday, I'll have to catch the contest on Saturday. So I guess I'll meet you guys after the contest/panel. And we can do lunch or something.

Now about those widescreen commentaries... here's what we'll do. To get a better idea of how everything fits together, I want you guys (Oto, Kalium, and probably Pen) to send me your best shot at one of the commentaries. You can choose whichever one you want. I'll then take that audio and composite that commentary in video form. And then we'll all uh... decide, I guess. :P

EDIT: until DWP posts them on his website... the widescreen commentary revisions are located here. (Revised to be more accessible to speech, as promised. If you've got a major problem with any changes, talk to me.)

see some of you at Otakon, and the rest of ya back here the week after ;p

On that note, I'll be staying up in VA for the following week after otakon, so no work will be done on the naratives till I get back. Hopefully I'll have one ready for you guys to demo soon.

First off, I'd like to say it was realy nice to finally meet some of the editors from this project, namely Downwithpants, Jasper-Isis (and her friend Krtz) and Songbird21 (and her cute little girl) all of you were a pleasant to meet and hang out with, as short as that was for some of you ;p

Anyway, back to animasia matters, I got some stuff from Jasper at the con, supposedly everything I need for the naratives, and most things I need for the DVDs I think. I havn't gone through them quite yet. But just posting some kinda update so people know the project is still chugging along.

I won't be able to do any actuall work till I get back to GA though, which will be next week. Visiting some friends in VA after Otakon this week.

P.S., maybe we can try and get this to premeire at AWA?

P.P.S: Jasper: So sorry for forgetting to bring my better quality video for you, I will upload it for you the minute I get back to GA. don't let me forget. Beat me with a stick if you have to ;p
