Re: BTG: 20 Years in Anime *4 Spots Open*(Late Beta/August 23)
Following up on Lopez's suggestion, while I've already contributed to 2003's entry to help fill out the vacant spots I would also like to add a further submission, if I can:
Year: 1994
Anime: You're Under Arrest! (OVA)
Artist: Cyndi Lauper
Song: Hey Now
I expect to have it wrapped up by the weekend.

I dunno what I'm gonna do about the open spots just yet, I know a few editors that can edit good tracks with very little time. If they can't do it then I'm either gonna do em myself, wait until it fills up to post a final due date, or open it up for people to have several tracks.

At least you're showing that you're dedicated, half of editors who participates in MEPs drop out including the ones who hosts them.Hagaren Viper wrote:I'm going to need another slight extension...Tuesday at the latest I should have something for you. Sorry about this >_o

Re: BTG: 20 Years in Anime *3 Spots Open*(Late Beta/August 23)
Great. I'm gunna have to be one of the douchebags that has to drop.
A couple days ago I left out disk 2 and 3 of Baccano! after I pulled an all-nighter looking for clips, and apparently my brother threw a hissy fit and broke both the disks plus some other movies that were left out. ....don't even mention it. I know, he's a frickin' brat and a half.
I seriously had all the motivation in the world to make my part work, but now that those two disks are gone, I simply can not see how I am supposed to finish my part. I tried shortening my track down, but the gaps where clips from episodes 7-16 were supposed to be are too sporadic. I tried improvising as well, but I can't find any clips that would fit the bill. I probably should have said I was gunna have to drop as soon as I found out about the disks, but I also tried fixing it by running down to the dvd store and getting vol. 2 and 3, because I thought each disk was a volume, but it turns out there are more than 3 volumes, and each cost around 20 dollars. |: I'm dedicated to this project, but I don't exactly have money growing out of my ears.
Uggggggggh, I hate being the douchebag that literally drops the day of the deadline, but I don't really see what else I can do. I really like my anime and song pairing, and from the first 6 episodes, I managed to get about 22 seconds of the song done (it was cut down to one minute.) It'd be really uber sweet if someone could make it work, but I can't, though I wish I could. I absolutely loved how it was coming out so far.
I'll probably have to give 2007 up to someone else, despite my unwillingness. I was trying to think up another 2007 idea as well, but I love my first pairing so much that doing anything else feels like I would be forcing it, as I really have the motivation for editing with my first anime and song choice. But I can't make the rest of my track, as it would look like utter crap without the rest of the episodes.
I don't know. I've been racking my brain thinking of how I could make it work, but I can't think of anything. Sorry compbros. Hate having to drop, but I'm gunna have to. Though I really wish this mep doesn't get any more drops, as I'm looking forward to the final result.
Good luck, ya'll. The bitch who gets '07 better make it awesome.

You have my condolences, personally if it wuz me hosting this MEP I would give you more time. I've seen situations like this where the person who went thru the most shit wound up having the greatest part of the MEP once they were given the chance.Taite wrote:Great. I had such an elaborate and cool idea in mind when I choose my track, but the scenes that I needed to use for it simply do not exist. I can't believe that I remember so many DBZ scenes that never actually happened
Anyway, I GREATLY scaled down my idea, but I'll send you a beta (or possibly a final) in a few hours.

Ugh that sucks. Alright if you don't think you can make the final date then I'll take you off the MEP.
