i see but they have higher quality than the supposed English DBZ Remastered Version, but you need something called emule to download the e-links. But I never tried it, but the idiotic FUNimation flagged the user who uploaded the videos to youtube which had awesome quality even in flash when they were oned under a Japanese label. But eh, who cares thanks anyway.

Dragon Ball Z dvd set
Hey narutoball,
I pm'd you. Does anyone know how the dvd sets on ebay are? I know I woudl have to sacrifice some quality if I were to buy them, but just wanted to know how the translation is compared to the original japanese version.

I agree with narutoball and think that the original DBZ episodes are the best. and the songs and everything, it's sick. FUNimation totally made it cheesy, you can't mess with the originals and am sick of them making money off of it. It's disrespectful to all the original DBZ fans, to AKIRA TORIYAMA, everyone else who have been watching it in Japan and in the U.S. (NGN japanese channel). Everyone I know that has been watching the originals are shocked to see what FUNimation has done with the series. I understand that they have to cut some bloody scenes out and make it easy for people to understand the story/dialogue, but they could have at least kept the real names/music and even created dvd's that didn't mess with the translation. So if you were to buy FUNimation's dvd's, then you could change the settings, but I bet the new FUNimation dvd's translation is still screwed up. Can anyone confirm this?
If anyone knows where to buy dvd's that are decent quality and less expensive than the authentic dragonbox, that would be awesome. I am really hoping there is a place that you can get a dvd set that won't mess with the translation too much and has the ORIGINAL uncut music/story. THANKS!

That looks like a bootleg my friend. It doesn't even have english subs for the other half of the series from what they've said. If its all region and has english and chinese subs then its most likely a bootleg. Now if it was a region 3 dvd which I have seen some R3 dvds lurking around then go for them. But the problem with those are that the subs are burned into the picture which isn't good.
Where have you been? Haven't you heard of the craptastic season sets? The japanese translations are as official as they come since they are done by Steve Simmons. The season sets have the option to choose the dub with the original japanese score as well. The only problem with those sets are that they are in widescreen and they've cropped the top and bottom and some blurring during more detailed areas. If anyone knows where to buy dvd's that are decent quality and less expensive than the authentic dragonbox, that would be awesome. Any ways this talk about what dvds to use is getting pointless.

Hey Bebop0083,
Thanks for the info. Well yah, I have been M.I.A. on dragonball dvd's and it's been a long time since I regularly watched dragonball and now I miss it so much that I've been hoping to buy a set that is nice and has good translation and is the most accurate as the original series I used to watch. I know I can't buy anything perfect but was hoping someone might know a good set.
I don't want to buy the single dvd's because they end up costing so much. I was just hoping that there were some bootlegs that are good. Just never know when someone will actually create one so I figure it wouldn't hurt to ask.
Would anyone know or recommend any websites to go to to purchase DBZ movies? What's your favorites? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. THANKS GUYS.

you can't buy them from that website, it just has pictures and information in another language, there are no major retailers whole actually sell them anymore since limited amounts were made and they were released about 5 years ago, best bet is ebay or amazon.jp second hand ones, but i don't think that many ship internationally.
I am going to be selling mine soon, pm me and i will pm you some details back
