Then I suppose Tornado Vasectomy is one too. :P

Makes sense, though; used different editors to make a single video.

I'm uncertain about including every single video that has more than one editor on it as part of the muti-editor projects list. I think there's a big difference between public and private "projects". The last two examples (and many others like them) are where a bunch of creators have joined together to make a video in private and not tell anyone until release.

I think a distinction has to be made... I just dont know how to make it. I dont think Road to Iron Chef needs to be on the list, despite the various creative talent.

Once I can update the project website (which should be either later tonight or tomorrow), the Betamax Project will be ready to launch. I'll make a post about it when I actually have updated the site so all the info is correct, but it's going to start very soon.

Generality

Post by Radman » Sun Oct 24, 2004 1:27 am

I'm just asking a general question here. Why Multi-Editor projects? What is the reason for going through the trouble and pain and suffering and usage of resources for something like an Animix? One goes through a lot of trouble just to get a bunch of editors to do a minute (or so) of AMV, and then to throw it all together. I know this question is rhetorical, and I know there are many reasons, but could someone try to give me a general/most applicable answer. :)

suffering is better when you get to share it with other people.

well the second reason would be that multi-editor projects are nice because you get to meet other editors and help each other with the different sections. a multi-editor project shouldn't be painful if its managed well.

The first ROS was like this. There was a webpage accessable to people that went to our site but otherwise it was a private project.
