I am going to strongly recommend using raw footage. For a number of reasons!
If I were coordination this project (as well as instances in the past) I would (/have) not allow subbed footage. It's distracting to the viewer and breaks the rules of this site.
Foremost if you wish to be taken seriously as an editor at the very least attempt seamless editing with as little interference as possible. I cannot stress this enough: BACK UP THOSE FILES AND GET AHOLD OF YOUR FOOTAGE THROUGH OTHER MEANS.
RAWS break the rules of the site aswell, and no one will see the subs, i can edit them out, that waht i used for Naruto of A King video i made, the lip synching all had subs, and i took em out :)
You completely miss the point. Raw footage is any footage that is sub or other wise disturbance free. I am not telling you to download footage at all; I don't publicly endorse that. I am telling you that using subtitled footage is wrong. Go buy the DVD/VHS or just change your source. It's that simple if you can't be bothered to look past the obvious, just don’t bother at all.
And if it’s the cost of the R2 DVDs that frightens you, privately ask for endorsement. Many of us whom spend the unghastly dollar amount on expensive R2 have no problem aiding the cause. So just be decent DAMNIT! Don’t set out in a deliberate attempt to break the rules of the site.

hell, no. I barely get to edit my regular amv in this time of exams. but in the next four weeks or so, I'll get around it and will be able not to stretch the time to so much (that doesn't mean that I do not edit long -- I just work all day on it :x )

but when that time comes, I know my creation will come out nicely, as I have a wicked concept thingy in my mind

P.S.: @alastor: will it only be you who makes the beta-tests or will every member of the project be able to take part?

P.P.S.: one more thing: when we have the final, is it possible to send it via dvd to you in person? (since I can't upload such a huge mass of mbs ^^)

Well so far that I know, the only beta tester is me and angel, so far.
For the Final segment you can also send it to me by dvd if you like

I was wondering does anyone have a good title for this mep, I have try to come up with title for this mep but so far I haven't been able to get a good one.
As soon as I get a good title and can start working on the banner
