Oh, I have a question! At the start of our tracks, do we list the information of the song and footage and stuff at the beginning or are you going to do that to all of the tracks in the final render?

I'll be adding them in myself. I have a template set up so that everyone's is the same size, including the film icon.

By the org rules are we allowed to set up a profile for our individual vids or would that count as double submitting them once the MEP is released? I was thinking of making a profile for mine, even though we can't release them online yet.

I've yet to see anything to indicate that it's frowned on in this case. Many of the DDR Project segments are available as individual entries. I'm going to do the same with the "Small World" vid since I had always planned to send it to conventions as a standalone AMV long before I joined the MEP.Monitor Zombie wrote:By the org rules are we allowed to set up a profile for our individual vids or would that count as double submitting them once the MEP is released? Everyone and their dog does it, so I don't see any issue with it.Monitor Zombie wrote:By the org rules are we allowed to set up a profile for our individual vids or would that count as double submitting them once the MEP is released? EDIT: Just don't do it until AFTER the project is done.

Actually I have a question as well...just a clarification on the deadline.
Is the posted deadline the last chance to get the final submitted or is it your last chance to send a beta (with the assumption that the final would the sent after approval).
If that deadline IS for the final how late in the game will you accept a beta? I'm not running into any problems with mine. I'm just curious.

Essentially, this is how it works. If I have a beta by that deadline, but not a final, I'm not going to say "SORRY YOU ARE LAZY AND CANNOT ENTER NYA NYA NYA". A few extra days is fine. It will probably take a few days to a week in order to compile the project anyway.

No problem, wasn't planning on doing it yet, just thinking about whether or not I could/should.CodeZTM wrote:Everyone and their dog does it, so I don't see any issue with it.Monitor Zombie wrote:By the org rules are we allowed to set up a profile for our individual vids or would that count as double submitting them once the MEP is released? How are you planning on deciding the order of the segments in the final vid?

Re: Disney MEP II [A Whole New AMV] [Finals:5 ; Beta:3; Edit
Usually, it just goes by which tracks fit the best together in terms of transitioning. I also try to have a little variety in the segments to keep it from being the same "atmosphere" each track. But most importantly, I try to put the more "OMG THIS IS AWESOME" tracks at the very beginning, hoping to grab the audience attention.
But mostly it's just about random chance and luck. XD
