Re: The Glee MEP [FINAL Deadline: DEC 27 AND I MEAN IT]

Post by CodeZTM » Wed Dec 22, 2010 10:00 am

The finals. Something that I can tangibly put on the track and have your full song and some footage on it.= Although you can make changes while we're working out how the Beta compilation looks/feels, and I can just replace it with the media exchanger. That's how I plan on getting feedback on my tracks anyway, so I don't mind that other people do it as well.

However, due to an overwhelming lack of tracks [while I did receive some finals tonight, several of them are barely above "beta" status, had a lot of quality issues and many of which are in the wrong technical specifics that I'm not really wanting to fix], I will not be compiling the MEP as originally planned. Please feel free to submit your tracks to the org and announce them as standalone videos.

My apologies to those that worked hard on their tracks. Next year, I will make sure and start earlier than the last week of November, so maybe we can actually put everything together.

I actually wouldn't do that to ya'll on this one. I've got enough to justify a compilation at this point, and everyone has followed the technical guidelines [although the deadline guidelines are apparently much more easy to ignore, LOL xD]. The Xmas MEP was shut down due to the following: a)lack of interest b)lack of AMV's above beta status [and you guys KNOW that I'm generally not picky when it comes to AMV's and usually like everything] c) poor visual quality on several tracks.

As much as I hate to quote godix on ANYTHING. "If it looks like shit, don't release it.". Although we had 4 FANTASTIC tracks, the rest of them would have made the compilation a mess, and 4 AMV's don't really justify a MEP in my opinion.

But yeah, the Glee MEP isn't like that.

Angelyco's final was fantastic and unique. :D

Mkid's 2 tracks are probably VCA material.

Aimo's track is one of the best atmospheric AMV's of the year.

My tracks are adorable non-canon yaoi and a delightful basket of fruits respectively. [Which, by the way, I probably need to send out betas for. >_>']

Nygma's track is lighthearted and fun to watch.

Everyone has followed the technical guidelines and have submitted with good quality tracks.

WE CANNOT POSSIBLY LOSE.

First beta of my full track has been sent out! Considering how it's still in the beta stages, I know there's a LOT I still need to change so don't hesitate to voice out anything you feel doesn't look right[because it probably isn't right xD] The quality is a little shoddy but they are DVD rips[besides from the creditless opening which looks like trash - still need to find a good noise filter since TTempSmooth does NOTHING at all and Deen was far too strong and removed all the noise AND the textures] and I think I might have abused the white flashes a little....anyway let me know your opinions on it! ^^

Oh and 1:03-1:13 is completely random and doesn't fit at all but I don't know what to put there so any suggestions? :uhoh:
