Then the part from Soul Eater where Kid and BlackStar make the "Excalibur face" and fade to black...roll credits. I wish I had the video to pull it off.

Speaking of closing credits, do we still wanna do the ongoing list of side-effects or were there any other ideas like maybe trying for what we did last year?

Warlike Swans: Please get that audio for me as soon as you can. Actually, we can make a trade! I'll upload the first episode of Code Geass in editable AVI form for you onto my website and send you the link so you can grab it. I just finished working with all of Code Geass, I have all of it in clean AVI form now. Let me know what other episodes you might need as well. My website doesn't get a ton of traffic so I have some room to use.

I like the idea of using the Happy Meal idea, but I can't figure out how to use it. If you want to change the beginning, now's the time to tell me, as I've already put in a bunch of editing work onto it. Once I have this audio, I can make a mock-up of it for you all to take a look at. The basic timing that is. If there was some way I could use the Japanese audio from Code Geass, I could make fake subtitles of Lelouche yelling "SHOW ME WHAT'S IN THE HAPPY MEAL!" as he Geasses Suzaku, perhaps... not sure what scene would work though. Although then Suzaku saying the quagmire line probably won't make much sense. Then again, it doesn't anyway ^^

And Deuce, I actually now have the means to get the footage from Soul Eater if you want it. Find the episodes you may want to use, and I can probably get them for you. Can't guarantee it, but I used Soul Eater as a test for the media converter.

But we still need a running gag. We have several viable potentials.

Seriously, what does everyone want to do? If we are going to even have one, we have to make the choice now.

So funny story... I actually have volume 3 of Family Guy, which is season 4 part 1 (not that it says that anywhere on the box)... so I opened the cellophane for nothing...

As for Code Geass the audio we're going to use is only 18 seconds, we just need the 1 episode (R2 ep 1).

Okay, I made a very quick mock-up of something along the lines of what I had in mind.

In terms of the beginning, I want to do more of a scene style setup, not entirely sure how or if it should be done, so if anyone has any thoughts, feel free to post. I'm thinking a bit more setup, but not too much more. Somewhere in the midst of the wormhole I'd do 3D titles like I did in AMVS4, and for shits and giggles I tossed in a still image that may or may not stay there I hope it goes without saying but while the general timing is there, no lip-sync at the end or whatever is really done at all, this took about 10 minutes to throw together. I just want to get impressions. And remember, the intention is to have the wormhole peppered with a bunch of anime characters and and random stuff.

Anyway, back to animating. Oh, and in case you two haven't noticed, your respective episodes are in a PM to the two of you.

How do you feel about an introductory clip leading into this intro, like a scene before the opening to give it a TV show feel? The best example I can think of is Will & Grace or ATHF. The Happy Meal thing, perhaps? Just throwing ideas out there...

I'm definitely open, especially if it can tie into the main idea of the theme. If we even really have a theme. But the Happy Meal idea could work, but really I'd rather see a running gag that will work through a good 4 or 5 different clips. The Happy Meal audio is so specific, I'd have to see it done really convincingly to think it's worth it, personally. I'm sure it's doable, but I'm not seeing it myself. I'm trying to wrack my brain for footage and a connection that would make it funny. My thought is instead of just having the Geass Effect instantly start, do an actual small scene to lead into it as title credits (not too much longer, though). If this isn't worth it for an intro, then it's not really worth it to continue. I love the music, it's attention-grabbing and works well to draw people in like most good intro songs. What if somehow some Code Geass footage could be adapted to be Happy Meal related and Lelouche orders someone to do something related to a happy meal? The problem is it kind of injects two ideas into one and like any time that's done has the strong potential to ruin the impact of both. My perception is this loses impact if it's not played as close to the beginning as possible. If the ATHF intro style thingy can be incorporated into Code Geass, then it may just be that much stronger in collusion.

Thanks for those, I've always wanted to use a couple of them If I move fast, I may be able to. I don't honestly see how they could work in conjunction with the Code Geass clip though... one thing is if Suzaku would be Steve, and then randomly shifts to Quagmire it confuses the audience and kills it, whether they consciously notice at first or not. The Quagmire line is just the best one I've found for that situation, I'm sure there could be others, but the delivery, the situation, and his face all worked well for me. So if someone had another idea of what could be said, I'd be happy to explore it. I also intend to cut out the white screen and show his face longer before he says the line so it's not so abrupt. Again, it was a rough cut.

But in general, I just have to ask if people like the idea and it works for them, understanding that this is the base, of course. If nobody likes it, I need to stop now and we need to put together another intro. But bear in mind, I think the intro needs a lot of good impact to make people interested right off the bat. I saw AMVS4 at the con I showed it at, as long as someone was in the room, they were hooked with the Onion's trumpet fanfare.
