just a question, you joined *sees below avatar* in september of 2003, and your numbers are 07, you wanted it to be 007, right? O:guy07 wrote:hey now, lets not go bashing the numbers for names people. ..cuz i'm one of them.
or is just a pure coincidence that it makes sence that we are at 2007 which most people abreviate as 07 O:

School just ended for me, so i'm going to be able to edit soon. I still don't know how to make the transition with Greg's part though.CrackTheSky wrote:Ok, so I'm going to go listen to my segment tomorrow. I'm gonna be using Stratos 4, since the clips are on my computer and all I have to do is convert the framerate. Easy enough. Should start editing soon.

STOP!
Beta Time
...alright, so I don't have the links atm. I will try to upload them tonight...but might have to put it off til I get on the cable at my dad's tomorrow.
I made "full quality" and "release quality" versions in both .mp4 and .avi
I already know about the lipflap, the jump at about 0:10 and the slight tardyness of some of the small boxes in the second half. The blended footage when Belldandy and Sayoko are in the club with all those flashing lights is not a mistake...it's supposed to be like that.
this is just to give you guys an idea of: what I'll be using for footage, the flow, general idea of the effects I'll be doing (very general, I hope to make the effects more elaborate), and a general sense of the timing.
a few questions I'd like answered:
is it "happy"? (I realized after I told sky I'd join that I hadn't done a happy vid yet)
do the switches I make between external and interal sync work, or should I work on that?
any advice for effects I should try to pull off? (using after effects 6.5 pro)
+edit: .mp4 RQ
.avi RQ
.mp4 FQ
.avi FQ

a really cool effect i always wanted to use (but could never find the right vid) is pretty simple:
do a dualoverlay of a clip, chroma the top one and hit the show mask only (in vegas) then just use a bit of a blur so it looks nice and then go nuts with radial or linear blurs. Looks pretty cool and it's not too hard, works nice for drum synch (bass)

Kari,
I like the beginning of your track (is that tunnel custom-made?), but you're gonna have to work on the rest, ALOT. Don't you have some slightly more eye-pleasing footage? Because the kind you have right now, mixed with the truly over-simplistic and visually unappealing effects (If you're gonna try effects, you really need to put effort into making them unique) make for pretty unimpressive stuff. You may already know all this though, so if you're planning on working it alot already, there we go

Well, it's a start. I think you need to work on the effects, maybe make some color changes (to make it more colorfull), and some feathers, a little better fx syncing. In my opinion, you need a LOT more beat sync and a generally faster pace. Happy? Well, it's halfway there, you could put more smiling faces in perhaps.
