I just made an adjustment to one thing I posted. there is NO due date for this project any longer. I've realized that you can't contribute your best if your under pressure with a project due date coming. So, this project will be in the works for however long it needs to be for it to be quality work. So, don't kill yourself over a due date. Go back and edit your track if you feel you need to. :)

EDIT: Made other adjustments, too.

Sending in your 100% complete segment WITH audio is a no-no.

Please leave a seconds worth of clip after your segment is complete so that we may do transitions.

When sending your track to us, Huffyuv isn't the only accepted format. We WILL accept high quality Xvids. The bitrate must be set atleast at 5000 for this. This is for all those people who don't like big filesizes(56k'ers mainly). ; ) We highly recommend huffyuv, though.

Also, when sending in your segment, label it w.e track your doing with your username on the side(EX: Track 17 - SuperFusion).

I still say we should require Huffy. They can always burn it onto a CD, and mail it to wherever it needs to go. We shouldn't skip on video quality like that.

Just my opinion.

With a bitrate over 5000, I think we can maintain the quality to be the same when we re-encode it after it being exported as a huffy. =/

Well, do what you want. I just don't like the idea of double compressing XviD... :-/

Even with the bitrate that high.

Even with the bitrate that high.
that would make it extremely ugly. Even with a really high bitrate.

Whoever told you guys it lessens the quality told you a lie because I got different results. The quality stayed the same.

Huffyuv:

X-vid:

I'm guessing you guys went off what you were 'told'. This was also done with the bitrate at 4000, so there shouldn't be any complaints about X-vid.

It's not what you export as. It's after you re-encode the XviD to the final encode.
Did you re-encode the XviD in that picture to another XviD(I'm assuming that's the codec for the final encode?)
