Anyone who wants to send in ideas and more clips, feel free to do so
I have one new submittion, so I gonna upload it soon.
And yes, the name of the project will likely have to do away with the TekkoshoCon element for the aforementioned purposes.
Does this mean that my opening is not valid anymore? Cuz its says "TekkoshoCon Edition" in the end... And "TekkoshoCon Presents" in the beginning... I can change it to something else, but will you still use it?
I, for one, would sincerely like to try again for next year's TekkoshoCon with a new batch of videos.
You can already count me in. I have a few more ideas for the future project and I bet that by the next year I'll have a lot more.
Since this thing never did happen at Tekko, and Otakon is coming up, I was thinking about putting this together as a collaboration piece and submitting it to that and perhaps certain other cons as a "fan-produced" video.
I think that's a great idea. We didn't have a chance to really show this project on TekkoshoCon, so submitting it to Otakon sounds perfect. This can definitely win as the best comedy!

I think you'd have to talk this over with Jim Westbrook and the Otakon staff first, I've already submitted my own personal video for the AMV contest, and I know that there is a rule about participating on more than one video. I'm not sure if this also applies to the Fan-Produced videos, but I really don't want anything technical disqualifying me this year.

If there is a conflict, you may have to remove my clips, if not, I'd be super excited to see it at Otakon as well. The Fan Produced videos and AMV screenings are my absolute favorite.
And I thought nobody read these.

Yuppers. I will use practically anything you send in.

Well, actually...no. This would be a non-competing video as it will far exceed the six-minute time limit set by the AMV people at Otakon. It should at least be able to run in the "fan-produced" video block, but I want to shoot for a trailer position before the nightly parodies. We shall see...

*nodnod* Will do. If this somehow goesn't make it by Otakon, then I'll try for NekoCon in November. Submission deadline notwithstanding, I think there shouldn't be a problem as long as everyone gets their information in with their clips. ;)

Okay, here's the deal.

Dezbo21: since you only submitted one video into the AMV contest and you only have clips in the compilation which is not in any competition, there shouldn't be a problem with your submission being disqualified because of this. I'm waiting for an official answer, but that's the word I'm getting.

The deadline for submitting this to Otakon as a fan-produced project is 11:59pm June 10, and that's by SNAIL MAIL (no FTP for fan videos - boo!). That means if you have any more clips ready, get them in ASAP. I'll be working on things like closing credits and such as I piece this together.

The bottom line is I need to have something done and in the mail no later than June 7 if this is to work out at all. There's still a fair amount of work which needs to be done on what I have now, as well.

Let's make this happen, okies?

Just upoaded my new creation to the F T P, you can check it out if you want.
Now, deuceloosely, I need to hear strict orders, what do I need to change in the AMV Hell 3.14 opening? It says TekkoshoCon in the beginning and in the end. Please tell me what should I exchange it for because I'm not in charge of those things. And if you want it to leave it as it is, well, less work for me :P

All that really needs done is removing the Tekko Edition part. Otherwise, I'd like to keep it as is. I'll also need the sound source you used for it since I'm in the process of building the end credits (nothing too fancy; just scrolling up with regular font face, white on black, perhaps with the production tags playing off to the side in a box). So far, things look good. The total running time will be just under 20 minutes, which should be plenty for a fan-produced collaboration.

Keep an eye out for a new AMV Hell thread, as I'll post further details here soon. ;)

I'm really glad that we're actually doing it. 20 minutes is just enough for a normal fan made AMV Hell. I hope we won't end up doing nothing like last time :?
Now, about the Tekko thingy. I can just replace it in the end with something like Deuceloosely (c), instead of TekkoshoCon (c). And in the beginning, I'll change it to how it originally was when I first made it, "Deuceloosely Presents", if you remember. I think that will fix the problem. You see, removing the whole things will be a bit troublesome, because I'll also have to cut a part of the sound and I don't really wanna do that. So, if "Deuceloosely Presents" in the beginning and Deuceloosely (c) insted of TekkoshoCon (c) in the end is ok, I'll do it.
Oh yeah, the sound source I used was "Final Fantasy VIII - Opening Theme".

DarkNesS:
Go ahead with the changes. I'll have to run a final render by Tuesday night in order to send the disc in Wednesday morning. I think I may send it USPS Priority to be safe.

EVERYONE ELSE!
If I don't have your clip info on the Wikispace page (link is on top of the first post) or in my gmail, I will be PM-ing you for a speedy reply. I MUST get the end credits done by Tuesday night.

I REALLY need:
* the author of the clip which used Fullmetal Alchemist and a Freddy Got Fingered sound bit ("...he's a CHILD molester!").
* the anime used by EvilNickJr to Josh Groban's "I'm a Gangsta" reference it at www.you tube.com/watch?v=fKqaw9A2r84 - remove the space in the URL).
* maru-sha: the sound source for "Ranma's Ordeal."

Otakon or bust, people!

That's mine

And yeah, I'm already on it, I'm changing the opening like I mentioned before.
