::drool::....Living Daylights. Nice song. Nicer chorus.

::curls up to protect self from being smote:: If you don't end up getting 100 or so editors, could my 2nd track be "Living Daylights"? I know I said what I said when I said when I said it. I'm sure someone else would want to do "Easy Come Easy Go", and I really like a-ha.

::flees from severe smiting by Qyot:: sorry sorry!!

So are you asking for Living Daylights as your first or second choice?

That's a good question. I just don't think I have the proper anime(s) available to me at this point in time to do "Living Daylights". Of course, there's a veritable smorgasbord of anime within the BYU anime club, its just getting a hold of it that's annoying.

Frankly, I like Living Daylights better than Sunday Bloody Sunday, I'm just lacking a concrete idea(s) for it.

Honestly, I'm trying to choose in regards to what is in the best interest of the project as a whole. I don't want to make a sucky AMV because I ran of out desire to work on a project, so I'm trying to factor what I could make that would look best and I would still have the drive to see through. That's why Living Daylights seems so much more appealing to me, because its half the length of Sunday Bloody Sunday, and I don't know if I could pull off a Grave of the Fireflies vid with a song that has such a strong beat. It definitely would be a test of my skill (which is a good thing).

::5 minutes later:: After much thought, keep me down for Sunday Bloody Sunday, and put Living Daylights as my second pick (if something drastic happens or I have an AMV epiphany, I'll let you know ASAP). Sorry for the bother. I'll try to make up for it in AMV quality :?

So are we going to be using the Yahoo group at all? It would be nice to know so I can make a habit of checking up on it.

OK people, let's not still be talking about this project a year from now! Let's go go go!!!!

The Yahoo group is going to be used mainly for announcing the previews before the tracks are approved, getting any updates on track progress, and anything else that would be important as the project is going along. Since it's just getting off the ground right now, there isn't much progress to report on yet. Early to middle November is about when I'll start asking for updates, so anything that comes up on there isn't necessarily going to be vital (although there is a project schematic that I do need to upload and announce as soon as possible, since it may affect how someone might want to edit their track; that should be available in the next few days, hopefully).

The Segment Cues are now up (hopefully this should also show up as a message on the Yahoo group as well):

Copy and paste the url in your web browser, otherwise it won't work.

- artist/title: Glenn Frey - You Belong To The City
- anime: Metropolis

My next choices would be tracks 91 and 20.

Something to Macross perhaps? I haven't heard the song (or can't remember hearing it), so I'm basing this entirely on the name of the song.

I'll try to get a hold of the song a try to give some more hints.

I've decided the anime I'm doing Sunday Bloody Sunday to. I'm awfully surprised it hasn't been done before (or at least I dont see it on the org). Consequently, I'll probably do the 1.5 minute segment for the project, and then just retool it for the entire song (is that "uncouthe" in the AMV world?).

Name:Radman
Track #: ...I can't remember right now...
Song: Sunday Bloody Sunday
Anime: Hellsing

The website has been updated accordingly.

It may be a little cliché, but since "In The Air Tonight" was featured on Miami Vice (and the lyrics point in this direction anyway), maybe a cop/street action? I don't know too many of those, though, and for all I know you probably already thought of this anyway.
