And Code: XP gives me more problems than Vista, so I think the problem lays somehwere else... but a format should be able to solve anything anyway, yep.

Before I totally ahniallated my system, I tried the "repair" option on my OS disk. Heavens to Betsy if that didn't work! My windows update (what wasn't working and that I needed fixing to fix other issues) is now working perfectly, and everything is working beautifully.

Sure, I unfortunetly still lost all my software/hardware stuff and I'm going to need about 4-5 hours to reinstall everything, but that's a hell of a lot better than 8 hours deleting the hard drive and 3 hours reinstalling an Os FOLLOWED by the 4-5 hours of software re-installation.

So all is well in Code-land. The people can have a sigh of relief again.
