Perhaps you had some kind of filter or plugin that allowed it AviSynth to use MP4. I just tried a test on mine and it didn't work. I'm pretty sure I have the latest AviSynth so that's probably not the issue.

Oh and if you (or anyone) has a plugin that allows MP4 to be used in Avisynth, let me know

if i did have a plugin for that it was in the AMVapp, but ill do some searching and stuff...

I never had any problems.

Directshowsource () works for me for simply everything. Even for .mov and .dat files O_o

it appears im being plagued by the bad luck duck, and everything i put onto my new drive just crashed, V-Dub, Vegas, AE, my 20 gig of music, my 6 gig of AMVs, and my 40 gigs of anime....
beyond that im having personal problems that pop out of nowhere, and im fucking depressed to no end....
