*let's out deep breath*

------------------------------------------------

My track 3 situation
Throughout this project I have had to go through three reformats. As of now, I'm declaring my Windows dead. There just seems to be nothing I can do to prevent it from crashing. I'm still going to try to fix it but I'm not going to wait on it to work on my track. Luckily I was OS X to edit with and the entire Final Cut Studio, so I'm generally okay, but here's the problem: This requires me to start over completely as everything I was doing for track three was completely windows based and does not work the same way with OS X (fake AVIs, avisynth, sony vegas, etc). However, thinking about it, it isnt completely fair to all the members of the MEP for me to hold you all back this way. Therefore, I have decided, to have you guys vote on whether or not I should keep track 3. Know that I will not hold it against you if you choose to drop me from this track. I came up with this idea on my own and figured this was this is only fair to all the other members of the MEP. Even though I may be dropped from track 3, I will still be coordinating and working on the opening credits sequence, so I still have a big part in this MEP. Note that I don't currently have a replacement for the track, but any other member who does not have more than two tracks can take it, also you are more than welcome to invite someone else to come and take it. If we start nearing the end of the MEP and the track is still open, I will take it and finish it as my duty as coordinator.
this has been corrected

-------------------------

Current State of the MEP

So far I have received full to near full betas for the following tracks:
Track 4 - TwilightChrono
Track 6 - sakuraslight
Track 8 - HagarenViper
Track 9 - sakuraslight
Track 10 - Kazemon
Track 11 - Vivaldi
Track 12 - Neverend
Track 13 - Neverend

Tracks that are still beginning to mid progress:
Intro - LittleAtari
Track 1 - IrAePyUrDrEaMz
Track 2 - Kazemon
Track 3 - LittleAtari
Track 5 - IrAePyUrDrEaMz
Track 7 - Vax
Ending - Blabbler

8 tracks are near completion, while 7 tracks have basically just been started on due to joining late or technical difficulties. In the case of the Intro and Ending, we basically had to wait it out to see who was locked in.

--------------------------

What this means
The MEP is almost evenly divided divided between tracks that are almost done and those that still need more work to be done. TC and I have decided to have two sets of deadlines. One for the almost completed tracks and another for the ones that have just started up. This is much easier than setting individual deadlines for everyone and it allows us to get in what we can and release members from this MEP that want to move on to other projects.

These deadlines will be announced this weekend. We dont plan on letting this MEP drag on and are still planning on releasing this MEP in time for the conventions listed by sakuraslight.

Also since I'm now editing in OS X:
ALL FINALS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN HUFFY AVI
with audio uncompressed also.
OS X does not accept Lagarith. If this is a problem for anyone, please let me know as soon as possible. I still have access to windows computers, but it would be very hard on me to re-encode all lagarith AVIs to Huffy.

submit lagarith AVI just as planned please

AS coordinator, I would hate to see LA dropped from Track 3.

I would prefer that you keep it LA.

I am interested to see how your track is going to turn out.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Also, as LA says, the deadlines will be posted this weekend.

LA and I will discuss the deadlines and get back to you all at that time.

I just like to lurk in this thread... But I think you should keep it.

However, if you don't, I'd be willing to take it. :P

If I get voted out of the track, I'll send you the audio so you can submit a beta to see how you edit to it.

With straight editing, I imagine you could get a close to full beta done in one weekend, I say go for it.

You may want to get an idea with less masking though.

I would have to say that LA

DROP

Track 3

You seem to busy and with all thies computer problems if it happens agine you are going to have 2 things that need finishing instead of one.

I say Stick with the Opening an make the intro amaizing and pass on track 3

(somthing to keep in mind keep all Vido editing data, Video editor saves the program that its being made wwith on a seprate Non OS HDD this helps alot if you have crashes)
