Sorry for my English if i'll say something in a funny way
Ok! (I'm not in a project, just wanted to give some feedback on the work you've all already did) I've downloaded the beta version of the MEP and i'll be a bastard if i'll say something really really bad about the project lol because i love CCS and the Clow Cards.
Of course each person in the project found their way to show the cards' nature (i have to admire that sometimes it was really silly, but hey, why not? xD ) and the anime which will fit to it in some way. Of course there were some parts which i liked better than others, but generally everybody did well. One thing that i really hate to say though is about encoding/resizing material/aspect ratio... all that. There were some moments in the MEP where the originally 16x9 footage (which was changed to 4x3 format without cropping) was build in in the ORIGINALLY 4x3 format video. I'm just wondering how CodeChrono will deal with it. Will you live it in the way it is? (like the part 10:50-13:12; 22:40 'n so on.) That is also the question to the tracks' authors.
...because... I mean I like these parts (first one is pretty good), it's just among all those little things which bugging you when you watch the video. For me it also creates a notion of a little lame-people-who-are-talented-in-video-editing-though! damn! ;D
There are actually whole parts which have wrong aspect ratios like Shana/Fiery Card piece and some others. Hmh, also the resizing properties... like in a first segment after intro, also 10:25-??:??. I don't know what [the hell] the authors did to it, but when I'm watching it in a full screen i see a terrible ladders of pixels everywhere. Or maybe it is because of your resizing/encoding properties, CodeChrono? -_-
Well, I can say a whole lot about this, just ask me for that. I really would like to see this MEP successful. And anyway before the final release all of the feedback will count as a good thing, right...?
P.s. you just need to fix it a lot and it will be fine.
P.s.s. In the topic it says "Clow's Collection Part I", so would it be a second part to it 'cause i really would like to take one of the CCards... 駆 -- which is directly tied to my nickname? ^^'

The poor video quality was due in part to the fact that I wanted the beta to be a low file size. The final version will be much better, trust me. ^_^
As for the various aspect ratios, I left that up to the authors to create. I don't think I can fix that, since they sent me their final clip as a huge file (If I can, please inform me ASAP!)

I thought the authors will be interested in changing their videos so them will look a little bit better, oh well... just change whatever you can (and what to ), CodeChrono! Like Shana part, some others (can remember which one though. I might watch it again to refresh my memory). Good luck with transitions ^.^CodeChrono wrote: Thank you very much for your feedback.

Pull the individual clips into Vdub using an avs script, and resize there. It's as easy as adding borders to the top and bottom in the script, then re-rendering. Shouldn't take but a couple of minutes to process if you are rendering to the same file format.CodeChrono wrote: As for the various aspect ratios, I left that up to the authors to create. addborders(0,40,0,40)
Tweak as you will to get the best a/r.
Then, switch it in the timeline (rename the new file to the old file's name in the project folder) and voila!
EDIT: Make sure you have a backup of the original file in case something goes horribly wrong. I still have the backup discs and tracks (even betas) from MEPs I worked on looooong ago.

22:45-24:25 <-- I think that's is the last one where you might change something.
In here we're having Air (4x3) -- which should be a 16x9 video -- mixed with Wolf's Rain (4x3) which should be 4x3 hmm... well, it's up to you. you can resize one, and crop other one if you want, so both of them will be a 16x9 videos... or do not do anything, because it will be stupid to go a half minute with Air video in 16x9 and then switch to Wolf's Rain in 4x3 and then back to Air in 16x9. In other words you're the boss! it's up to you.

Again, thanks so much! I'm so used to editing in 4x3 ( I don't even own a widescreen anime -_-), that these things slipped by me.dazedash wrote:22:45-24:25 <-- I think that's is the last one where you might change something.

And, yes, there will be a part two, with the cards not used in this one. You are more than welcome to join it. It will probably start up once all my other projects are done. ^_^

I never realized there was such big screen ratio differences.
I should have made them the same, it's my fault.
This is my first MEP so I'm still kind of new with all these technical requirements.
I'll be sure to make them the same ratio next time for the next Clow's Collection.
Thanks for pointing this out to me, I'll be sure to use better quality ratios next time!
