Here's a thought for people trying this out (just so we don't have 10 people using the same map for the idea): Get a flat picture of the world, and for each editor it travels to their location in the world, using the typical indiana jones theme music and line to display travel or something.

*shrugs* just a thought.

ta guys ^_^

i was thinking myself that the lost temple map would be too small. i got the idea when i remembered all the indiana jones scenes where it shows them flying to all the exotic countries etc (in temple of doom, when he boards the plane after escaping the brawl at the restautant).

yeah it would....... i wouldn't have the foggiest how to do it though

We need a man (or woman) with After Effects, Photoshop, some kinda 3d animation tool, a 200gb hard drive, guts of steel, a wooden foot, and a certificate declaring his insanity........

the only question, is where to find such a man.....

...
I've got all but the after effects...
But this may just be too hard for a man with only , Photoshop, a 3D animation tool, 200 GB HD, guts of steel, a wooden foot, and a certificate declaring my own insanity........

I should have borrowed that copy of AE from my freind... (Tck)

The certificate, well... I hang that on my wall right next to my picture of me when I was a crazy cat lady... er... man.

Ahhh the memories... I'm soo proud!

:D :D :D :D :D :D
CRAZY CAT LADY!!! GYARRRGHER YAAARGHEEEEERYAAAAGH!!!!

favourite simpsons character ever......

Anyway, After effects is well worth getting. It would help for the transition thing but it would be rather difficult to do ALL in after effects. things would get rather confusing by the end... @_@

And that's why I'm sitting these transitions out. I can do graphics til the cows come home. I can do simple animation (like my one Buttsecks segment), but I'm not good with maps and this sounds way out of my league(Not to mention I don't have AE and I'm not sure where my stepdad's animation software is :?). But I wish you luck LMS, along with anyone else that may be attempting this. *^_^*

Its suppose to be a map like this?
http://www.wall-maps.com/World/world_time_zone_map.jpg

if you are using something like that and having a line travel to different parts of the world i could probally handle that.
It could be done an easier way without requiering a man (or woman) with After Effects, Photoshop, some kinda 3d animation tool, a 200gb hard drive, guts of steel, a wooden foot, and a certificate declaring his insanity........

I think i could do it with just Flash, and a bottle of sake ^^

Edit: Im not sure it could do the line but i can do a dot moving from area to area
