Well, if you want to check out my syncing skills, check out my Newest vid. Virtues Of The Mind. It speaks for itself. I also have an Op. Exchange going that I am really hoping pans out well. As it will help me with my next project, greatly. Feel free to check the Op. Exchange thread if your interested.
Anyway, that was really off-topic, anyway, as I said, I'm working diligently on this project. As this is the most editing I have ever done in such a short time. It should turn out pretty good, as it is already looking rather good in my opinion. I will be asking for Deuce's opinion on it shortly.
Anyway, as I have said Deuce, I should have it for you sometime by the end of this week or so.

Well...I'm rather impressed by the conversation being had here. I wish the rest of the people on this project were as communicative with each other. And so early in production, too. That kind of thing bodes well for this Salad's progress in the future. That Hancock clip description is making me a bit anxious with anticipation. And if you're able to pull off the effects you're talking about, I may have to get a version of AE to go with my Vegas 7 (I've been kicking the idea around)...

It's worth it. You can get so much done. And in my opinion, Vegas 7 is better than 8.
After Effects Works Pretty well also. But, I also work on a computer that has 256 MB RAM. and still manage to pull off my editing, so for me, that says a lot.
I'm trying hard to pull these effects off, and doing my best to try and make this work. I may just go with what I have, and let you, Deuce, pick which parts of my trailer to go with.

Hey, Deuce, when I get my Andrew Ryan speech in, tell me if it'll work, 'cause if not, I kinda wanna extend it to his full speech and submit it to the 'org in a standard form.
Oh, and what do you think of That's Death?

"The Salad is coming, be not afraid of it's greatness, embrace it's epic-ness with all of your might.""Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon 'em."
Also, deuce, I should have a preview to give you of it today. Just so you know.
Also, I have a question. So, what would you say to the whole Salad being the same aspect ratio all the way through? I noticed in the last 2 that, there were varying aspect ratio's and was curious if you had a plan to fix that this time around? Also, is there gonna be any filtering this time around?
Just a question.

If by "filtering" you mean not putting every clip I receive into the final video, it is something I wanted to do with the last two but needed material to make it longer. From the response so far, and if this becomes a pattern, I think it might happen this time. Otherwise,...explain what you mean by "filtering."TwilightChrono wrote: So, what would you say to the whole Salad being the same aspect ratio all the way through? As far as aspect ratios, I have a standard in the tech details of the initial post. It's difficult to get everyone to follow a singular standard so I do what I can to compensate (cropping away letterboxes and such). Perhaps this time around I'll survey the field and see what the majority of clips were rendered to and use that as the standard next time.
Hourglass Productions had to send me DivX files because they are in Japan and, for whatever reason, certain codecs don't work or something..? Anyway, I couldn't crop those clips because the video quality would have been grossly diminished. They insist that kind of thing won't be the case this year, so the final edit should be less of a stress...

Filtering=VDM (VirtualDubMod)=Making the visual quality better.
Also, if you need help making the whole video the same aspect ratio, I can take care of that for you. Just let me know what size you want it.
Also, I am almost done with what I want you to preview. I should have it to you in a few hours or so.

That's what VDM is for. Just have them send you the files in Lagarith Lossless next time, and the quality of the original file will be preserved until it needs further editing. No matter how many times you save in a lossless form, you maintain the same quality as the original.Anyway, I couldn't crop those clips because the video quality would have been grossly diminished.

Hey duece, I have another vid ready, and it's just sitting on my hard drive. I finished up the vocal sync for it, and I'm not too into doing the whole massive special f/x thing. It's not really a comedy video, but it can fit into the Salad as either a show or an ad. It's that bioshock one I was working on, so I'll send it to you saturday, and I can do some editing on it if you want.
Also, what did you think of the other one I sent you, if you got it?

Getting me to LOL isn't an easy thing to accomplish, but I'm confident this will get some laughs. I found it amusing, though. Nice clip...KojiroShinkara wrote:Also, what did you think of the other one I sent you, if you got it?

The thing with my other vid (The one I just finished the other day) is that it isn't really funny, but amusing, and kinda neat. I guess it can be kinda funny, but it's more of a serious speech. I was thinking of making it like an election ad before I send it to you.
