I liked the first theme =/. But I actually see both themes really well together. So I suggest a combination. The lyrical parts are the Up-lifting Drama/Romance and the intrumental parts are action. I think I'd get bored with Up-lifting Drama/Romance/Dance/Eye Candy.

Which do you think makes sense, the current/new theme or the Combo theme of Action + Uplifting/Romance/Drama.

How can you not have at least a little dance on a techno-ish MEP?

Nah, I think each track should differ in theme if possible. Whatever the music calls for. My track is about the guy saying goodbye to the girl...not sure how uplifting I can make that. lol

Plus I think most of the instrumentals don't really call for action (not fast-paced enough). More-so just general scenes.

A combination might work, my original goal for my track (being instrumental) was to do drama and action together. I thought about doing pure action but it just seems too typical (it's Nanoha... pure action isn't exactly so hard =/), and besides the song isn't that fast for exciting pure action (or at least what I can imagine myself pulling off).

But of course, if my drama/action part fails, it would probably revert to an action segment. (the wonders of instrumental, they work so many ways =O)


EDIT: I just read what NightHawk said... I really should read all the posts before replying ><. I kind of agree to that, although I can imagine how your track can be uplifting =P. But whatever, I guess we'll see how this goes? I might end up taking back my words when I start editing.

Well the thing is most of my track IS uplifting. But then the curveball gets thrown in when she adds "Did it ever make sense to you to say bye." I just think it ends up being sad rather than uplifting. But we'll see how I do with that. Still haven't even thought of a source.

It could be the girl remembering all the good times with the guy and then seeing him say "bye"/breaking up with the guy
