Re: CascadaThon 2- [3 SLOTS OPEN!] 6 FINALS RECEIVED!!
;A; I think I should just try another source because I think in Kanon, using Mai is the fastest it can get. ^^;
If that doesn't work out, then I'll probably just have to quit. :/ Not only because I obviously can't edit the track like the first person a year ago did, but school's starting for me so I won't be online much. ^^;
Thanks for the feedback and I'll try harder next time

Re: CascadaThon 2- [3 SLOTS OPEN!] 6 FINALS RECEIVED!!
This is why I don't like to be blunt when I review something. It's also why I sugar coat a lot of things. I feel bad afterwards and put myself on a major guilt trip.
I didn't say you had to edit the track in the way it was done a year ago. If you did that, then it would just be a clone. And therefore carry no weight amongst the other great tracks in the MEP. I just feel better scene usage and a better execution of your theme would benefit that section more. Maybe a different source would be the way to go with this track or maybe a multi-source it's up to the editor as to which source to use just as with the track it's up to the editor to edit the track according to the theme and find the best possible way to execute it.
I say give it another go. I would really hate for you to quit because of my input, if I feel guilty now, my mood will really go down the shitter if I feel you quit because of my review. Give it another go and see how it turns out. I just don't think Kanon was the right choice.

Re: CascadaThon 2- [3 SLOTS OPEN!] 6 FINALS RECEIVED!!
I think the biggest problem with your track is the pacing. It just feels slow because you used still scenes with little action/movement and since the track is pretty upbeat, it doesn't quite fit. You could try finding all the scenes with Mai and the other guy(dunno his name ) with movement and then use simple cuts to beat sync, that might be easier to do and will probably look nicer than the forced zoom syncs. If you need some help or just want more feedback/help you can hit me up on Skype. ^^ It would be sad if you dropped out now.iCardioidAMV wrote:;A; I think I should just try another source because I think in Kanon, using Mai is the fastest it can get. ^^;

Re: CascadaThon 2- [3 SLOTS OPEN!] 6 FINALS RECEIVED!!
Hey guys. I got a couple of issues with a couple of the finals that were sent to me. I was just going over them last night and noticed some issues.
Aimo:
I have some weird slowdown and jumping, like the characters and stuff are twitching through the entirety of the vid. Can you maybe send me a re-render of the final to see if this eleviates the issue? I would be much appreciative. Thanks.
Pan:
On your Ah! My Goddess Final, 15-16 there is a split second clip during a transition that just looks god awful ugly, I didn't notice it before, but I am now. Can you maybe get rid of that and use a fade? It also looks like you used a color bleed there as well. I think just a regular fade would do fine. And at 21-22 there is another one during the flash. Can this be corrected as well? Again, I think a fade would work best here instead of the white flash. That's all that needs to be corrected in your final. Just a couple of the transitions.
I'm sorry if I'm inconveniencing anyone, I just want the parts to go as smooth as possible. I"m actually glad I went over these, else these issues would have carried over to the final project. I just want the MEP to be as good as possible.
Thanks guys.
Also, Jade, your Zero No Tsukaima portion I believe is ready to be finalized. If you could Huffy or lag it and send it my way I would love ya to death
Same goes for you Hagaren. Your Beta is ready to be finalized. huffy or lag it and send it my way and I will love ya to death
Also, if I can't get anyone for the credits, I have an amazing idea I wanna try. Just letting you all know. And I promise. I'll have my full beta to ya soon for review. Sorry it's taking so long, in the process of about to move AGAIN.......I think.

Re: CascadaThon 2-PLEASE CHECK POST GUYS. NEW POST AND UPDAT
Mean meaning to say that since pretty much EVERYONE I showed the track to thinks I should speed the beginning up a bit, I'd kinda like to sit on it for a little bit. I still dont know if I really want to change anything, but I should probably at least consider it - and I havent had the time to do so since I finished it.
So, just give me a bit longer~

Alright. I don't really agree with speeding it up since the beginning I think set's up the story you were going for as well as the mood and really helps to build it up. But if you wanna think on it that's alright I suppose.Hagaren Viper wrote:Mean meaning to say that since pretty much EVERYONE I showed the track to thinks I should speed the beginning up a bit, I'd kinda like to sit on it for a little bit. Just remember guys that I want this MEP done by October. I've stated this 3 times already.

Um..I thought it was finished so I had already deleted my lossless clips. I'm wondering if it's because I rendered it in HD? I still have my lossless copy of the final though and I could try and re-render that into 480p to see if it works..? Or I could encode it to .mp4 and then you re-convert it to lossless again?TwilightChrono wrote: Aimo:

Umm, just try to find a workaround for now. In no hurry. Still waiting on some peeps to turn their parts in. If I can't fix it by the time i start compiling then I'll have to use the workaround.AimoAio wrote:Um..I thought it was finished so I had already deleted my lossless clips. I no longer have this project file. So I'll have to remake the whole thing and I really don't want to considering I may not have the internet soon.TwilightChrono wrote:Hey guys.
