Hm that's a bit small
For high quality like required for this, try to aim between 3-15 MB depending on the length of the vid.
One of my submissions is 3.08MB and 3 seconds in length
Another is 10MB for 19 seconds. These are pretty good markers to aim for. (XVID 4)
If you use adobe premiere: yeah it crashes with xvid. Export it with adobe media encoder in high quality. You can get a HQ m2v (video) + mpa (audio) file. Then use virtualdub to open the m2v, go to Streams and add your mpa. Then encode in xvid. (save as > full processing mode and choose xvid as the encoder)

exporting from Premiere is best done with uncompressed video. That is your ultimate best choice, then you compress with VirtualDub/Mod or whatever other program you have. If you don't have the disk space to export uncompressed, use Huffyuv/Lagarith or the DebugMode Frameserver to feed your premiere project straight into Vdub and encode without the huge middleman. Adobe Media Encoder will mess up your video unless you're really lucky.

Somebody's already done that idea brilliantly, but I can't seem to find it. Probably because I'm trying to search while attempting to work. =PGepetto wrote:was there ever anyone more emo than Ikari Shinji from NGE?LeeKitten wrote:The Emo Song:

edit: without being able to watch it here, I'm pretty sure this is the one:

Well obviously if you can choose between compressed and uncommressed you do that.Gepetto wrote:NO don't do thatkrvabo wrote:H

I can asure you that that isn't the case. If you choose the correct settings, you can get great results. You can choose to save in quality 5 (highest) and choose the bitrate, etc. If you set the correct settings you won't even notice it's been compressed (because mainly... it isn't) Of course you need to work with high quality source so the impact is the smallest.Adobe Media Encoder will mess up your video unless you're really lucky.
But you _are_ right, if you have the option to save uncompressed: use that. Else: my way gets you some good results.

I almost forgot about that, LOL. That would be perfect for an AMV Hell 4 clip. Shinji the emo boy.Gepetto wrote:was there ever anyone more emo than Ikari Shinji from NGE?LeeKitten wrote:The Emo Song:

Here's another crazy idea. I just got the fucking kickass song Send Me an Angel by Zeromancer (the cover to the 80's song by Real World).
Remember that clip with MM to Ah My Goddess in Hell 3? Do a similar clip, with AMG, but to Send Me an Angel. "You're looking for love, calling heaven above.... send me an angel, send me an angel, right now, right now!"
heh.

ok i'm using your method for the sake that it seems to work so far on my machine. one thing though; what do you mean by feed your project into Vdub?Gepetto wrote:NO don't do thatkrvabo wrote:Hm that's a bit small
