Okay, so under the frame-rate: part under file > properties, change it to 23.976 (that will automatically change the template size.)carlyxjack wrote: It's okay , I have to learn,it's not like treating a noobie The template size is HDV 720-30p (1280x720; 29,970 fps) ( through file -> properties)
But when I see the the undersample rate from a movie part, it can't be higher than 1,000( 23,976 fps).
I don't understand that
And I am wondering why we have to use avysynth for the size, when sony vegas possibly also have 480 p
That means that your video is actually 23.976 frames per second, rather than 29.970. Because this project requires 29.970 you're gonna have to change it. First let me ask, did you rip this from a dvd? If so, you can actually re-save it over the file that you have imported into vegas now, and when we save it over that file (with the exact name) then when you open up vegas, it will open up the new file. That was a terrible description, but I'll go into it step by step if you're wiling to do a tad more work (that is, if you're footage came from a dvd, which it look like it did.)
As for the size, you can't just plug in the 480p into vegas when you have a 720p video. The reason why is that vegas doesn't literally resize the video from 720p to 480p. It just changes what you see on the preview. You need to literally change it's size, otherwise you'll get a weird looking video when you render it.
It's not that hard, really. If you are willing to go ahead with the first part (resaving your movie) we can resize the video at the same time. If not, we can get real messy and change the framerate and AR after you are done exporting your final track.
The typical process is that you'll rip your dvds first, eventually get to avisynth, do some cleaning up of the footage (some filters for quality, resize, crop, etc.) you'll either make a fake-avi, edit the script directly (not possible in vegas, as far as I know) or edit a lagarith version after running it through vdub. You don't usually resize/change frame-rates after you are done making the video. xP

How much of a beta are you expecting this week? I don't know if I'll have a FULL beta, but I'm going to try.

Sorry I haven't been on in a while guys. My poor computer sploded and I just got it fixed. I couldn't be madder. I lost everything. My Editing program, ALL my project files and the *Cry* Finished but never uploaded, due to lack of time and RL issues "Heaven's Faith 2". Seriously, I"m about to cry lol. I put so much work into it. Now I have to re-install everything and start from scratch on a bunch of my projects. I will however be finishing this one out though. I'll let you know when I get my editing program back up. But for right now, I just wanna sulk and mourn for my lost Heaven's Faith 2.

A good rule of thumb is just to NEVER mention you're using downloaded footage, especially not where you got it from.carlyxjack wrote:Huh I typed the name of a site in my previous post and I meant it in a good way,i just wanted to specify where I got my films from T_T
