I've planned out my vids to some extent, but just haven't gotten around to the editing. Additionally, I dunno if there was talk of this quite yet but I've suggestion for another "short running gag" like there was in AMV Salad 2:
Spoiler :
HEAD ON, Apply Directly to the Forehead
Going to use some Big O and Gurren Lagann clips for that, but I figure it's annoying enough that others could get in on it.
I've got more stuff planned than just that... but I wanted to suggest it early before we got too far into the project.
Can you send me the audio clip? I know I can make at least one with BECK and several others off the top of my head (Fist of the North Star, Hajime no Ippo, Zetsubou, ect.)

I actually don't have the audio just yet... there's a version of that commercial I have in mind which I just can't seem to find.

[Website for Videos] is sure to have the original in spades, tho. So you might check there :) It just fits Big O tho SOOOO well XD I couldn't resist (Need more Big O in amvs)

*Edit*
Wow. They censor that website mention here? Interesting. Oh well.

I was just being lazy. I'll go rip it from a Yo U. Tu. be video, then cut the good part out.

1. Welcome, sakuraslight! We can always use more chefs in the kitchen. ;)

2. InspZenigata:
I haven't been receiving the alerts to this thread being updated (and I created it), so I've fallen behind a bit with the discussion here. As for your running gag...I'm giving myself a *facepalm* for not having thought of that myself. Might I also suggest the use of NG Evangelion (specifically when the robots pop out of his head)? I'm anxious to see what weirdness comes out of this.

3. TwilightChrono:
Are you just being a tease? Do you enjoy dangling the carrot before the horse? :P I look forward to seeing this epic trailer.

4. KojiroShinkara:
I liked the Bioshock campaign ad. The "Pirates" clip was also rather amusing. Thanks for those.

5. krvabo
I just want to make sure you understand that, when you go to make a commercial / trailer / etc, those aren't subject to being clip material. We need the entire commercial done. If you're not comfortable enough with your graphic insertion skills, I'm sure I or any one of us could help out with that. If you also need assistance finding source material, just put the word out. We're all in this together, yes? As for the production tags, the same tech standards apply except for length (no longer than ten seconds). It's a separate clip which should have your 'org or "studio" name prominently displayed. You also remind me I need to add something to the first post about those things...

As for the rest of you (and I gotta say I'm impressed by the apparent amount of interest in this project), I just want to be sure you're still out there and planning on submitting. That is all for now...

I don't have access to NGE, so if you want to try that yourself be my guest :) I don't want to monopolize an idea, but I've got at least 4 clips from Big O, 2 from Gurren Lagann, and maybe a few from LupinIII I could use. So there will be no short supply of stuff. (I don't have a large repetoir of anime anyways)

Well, I grabbed a copy of the audio I can send to you later. Unfortunately, my editing computer is also the anime club computer, and it is with the president of the club right now. So, I'll be back to editing next week after Great Western War.

It's a wee bit violent.

Welcome back! It's good to see alumni returning. I sent you a PM if that's okay..?

Also, is anyone else having issues with not receiving thread update alerts?

I was having some issues, but that was after a long stint of no posts. Lately, I've been good on receiving thread update posts.
