Re: Kamelot (Interest Gauge)
The Transition to The Haunting was really bad, but that is the only one that really stuck out to me in a bad way.
I'm also rather happy with my own part.
EDIT: Though I must say, I did not like how it started off, I thought i'd be better if it'd start with some sort of intro...

I haven't come up with an idea for the intro yet but i'll think of something l8er on down the road. Right now I just want to get the mix as good as possible.Kevmaster wrote:Though I must say, I did not like how it started off, I thought i'd be better if it'd start with some sort of intro...
I'm probably gonna take out the forever instrumental as well as nothing ever dies and try to fit serenade in there somewhere this weekend. I'm gonna change your song to the part you wanted too onyx. After that gonna toy with transitions till it all sounds good.

Re: Kamelot (Interest Gauge)
Gonna listen to the mix now.
And yes, I agree drama = XD I specialize in Drama. lol.
Sorry I havent been on lately, problems here near home such as fires and web problems. D= But now everything seemed to calm down.
Edit:
I agree with Nighthawk...some of the transitions were good but some seemed not so good. But if you're working on another mix, can't wait to hear that one. =P
But I do say, I like how you transitioned Karma into This Pain...not so much for This Pain into the other song though...
Question about the part where you said the final project will be widescreen: Does that mean I have to letterbox my fullscreen footage or...something? lol. I have a very sucky monitor as well...I'm also curious about what aspect ratio you want the finals in?

Widescreen segments will be given to me in 848x480 and 4:3 segments will be given to me in 640x480. No letterboxing is necessary for anything. Square pixels everything. Both widescreen and 4:3 are full resolution at 848x480 with a widescreen monitor.Kazemon15 wrote:Does that mean I have to letterbox my fullscreen footage or...something? lol. Re: Kamelot (Interest Gauge)
Just a suggestion for the project intro, but since I'm using Rule the World for my track, maybe it would work if you used the Ghost Opera album's intro song, Solitaire? It's a minute long and it flows right into Rule the World, and I could start my track at around 00:16 or something. If it helpsEva-Fan wrote:I haven't come up with an idea for the intro yet but i'll think of something l8er on down the road. Right now I just want to get the mix as good as possible.
Edit: Er, 00:16 of Rule the World, after reading that through it sounded a little confusing >>;

Re: Kamelot (Interest Gauge)
Takefuji's idea isn't bad at all. Rule The World I think is the hardest song to transition into and this takes care of that.
Forever's instrumental can easily be transitioned into on a hard beat so it doesn't necessarily have to be at the beginning. Would love to have it stay in the mix if possible even though I won't be editing to it... <_< lol Also if it's in the middle of the mix, I don't think it would be that bad to have both the instrumental and then the 2nd verse/chorus follow right after each other if it's cut right. Then just have the job split for two people as planned.

Re: Kamelot (Interest Gauge)
K so I'm going on vacation from tues-sunday. Everything is on my laptop though so I'm gonna work on it over vacation time cause im sure there will be a time when im bored out of my mind. So ya, when I get back I'll post it then. I'm gonna consider Take's idea since I don't have anything better right now. I can't promise ill keep the forever instrumental track in there because I like the "Nothing Ever Dies" track alot and want to keep it in more so.
Sorry guys just hold out a lil longer, I will be making the MEP thread on january 1st though, this I can promise. Till then worry about spending time with your families and chillin with friends etc... That's what holidays are for.

Re: Kamelot (Interest Gauge)
All right guys, first of all sorry about the wait, second here's your new and improved mix:
http://www.valkyriestudios.org/evafan/K ... x%20V3.mp3
I honestly don't think it will get much smoother then this. If you have problems with this one then you can kindly make your own and get it to me with the info from this forum. I'm done quite honestly.
Overall I'm making this MEP for the band, cause they are a favorite of mine and hopefully yours since you joined. If possible I'd like to include band shots from concerts or preferably music videos however they have only a few of those. So use them whenever possible. Masks... ETC... If you can do it go for it. If you can't no biggy.
Take, your track begins at around the 10second marker now. The intro will only be around 10 seconds long. I doubt I'll be showing everyones names in the beginning. It's kinda pointless anyways cause they know who is in it. All credentials will be on the end.
:EDIT:
BTW Nerd I didn't know what part of the song you wanted so I picked the part I liked most from it. Hope it works for ya.

Last one was good, but this one sounds a lot better I really like the way it begins and ends
