Hey everyone. I started the interest gauge thread for this MEP a while ago, and it seems that there are more than enough people interested in joining. So now, I going to officially start the signup thread.
That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes,
an aeroplane - Lenny Bruce is not afraid.
Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn,
world serves its own needs, dummy serve your own needs.
Feed it off an aux speak,, grunt, no, strength,
The ladder starts to clatter with fear fight down height.
Wire in a fire, representing seven games, a government for hire and a combat site.
Left of west and coming in a hurry with the furies breathing down your neck.
Team by team reporters baffled, trumped, tethered cropped.
Look at that low playing!
Fine, then.
Uh oh, overflow, population, common food, but it'll do.
Save yourself, serve yourself. World serves its own needs, listen to your heart bleed dummy with the rapture and the revered and the right - right.
You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright light, feeling pretty psyched.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.
Six o'clock - TV hour. Don't get caught in foreign towers.
Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself churn.
Locking in, uniforming, book burning, blood letting.
Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate.
Light a candle, light a votive. Step down, step down.
Watch your heel crush, crushed. Uh-oh, this means no fear cavalier.
Renegade steer clear! A tournament, a tournament, a tournament of lies.
Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives and I decline.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it. (It's time I had some time alone)

The other night I dreamt of knives, continental drift divide. Mountains sit in a line
Leonard Bernstein. Leonid Brezhnev. Lenny Bruce and Lester Bangs.
Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom!
You symbiotic, patriotic, slam book neck, right? Right.
It's the end of the world as we know it. (It's time I had some time alone)

Themes:
The end of the world, chaos and destruction
Concept:
"Its the end of the world, and I feel fine". The concept of this MEP is to be fun, lighthearted, and possibly even comical (while still focusing on chaos and destruction). So fell free to use the most over the top anime scenes that you can think of.
Motivation:
I want everyone to have as much fun as possible while working on their track.
Track Details
I decided to combine tracks 1 and 7 due to the very long fade out at the end. Also, this gives me the opportunity to try and give the MEP a overarching concept. Like what was done in the

I always thought that 864 x 480 was the standard resolution, but a lot of people use 848 since resizing to it usually causes a aspect ratio error of 0.62% (as apposed to resizing to 864 which causes a aspect of 1.25%). But I've always just resized to 880 x 496 (which causes a aspect ratio error of 0.2%), and then cropped by 8 on each side to produce a 864 x 480 result. This crop also takes care of the black borders that appear around DVD footage.
Am I the only one that does this? Would everyone like me to change the requirement to 848?

It has been brought to my attention that my render settings are a bit unorthodox, so for now, I'll have the project requirement be 848 x 480. This is subject to change though. It has also been brought to my attention that some people may prefer the project to be HD. Once all the tracks are full, I'll ask everyone's opinion on the matter.

Anime: Akira (possibly karas as well and I'll get through my sources again. However, Akira should be the main source used)

Well, considering the anime sources picked so far that seems unreasonable to me. (Unless we have an avisynth god in here...I mean..I'm for example using a 1989 anime )
I just basically finished my MSI2 track by the way and ripped Akira (Still had Karas on my HD) so I think I can start with my track rather soon. I already have a basic layout in my mind.
