Phoenix Wrong: A Movie (Interest Gauge)

Post by L.Fist » Wed Feb 07, 2007 11:06 pm

For all of you who are familiar to one of newgrounds great series Phoenix Wrong, I'm just passing out the idea of making a amv version of the mentioned title. Would any body be interested?

To start, Phoenix Wrong is kind of just amvhell with only the use of sprites from the game “Phoenix Wright” and whatever sound clips you can find. All that is needed is the Phoenix Wright sprites (found on this site), and a comedy skit/sound clip/music idea to mix it with. Afterwards, the skies the limit. Hope that answered your question.

While I think this is a great idea and would be an awesome homage to Phoenix Wrong, I think flash is probably the best program to use for this kind of thing (unless someone's willing to vector each sprite to stop pixellation issues).

I'd happily be in though. There's so much silliness you can make from Phoenix Wright. :P

The vector thing was what I was wondering about...that and the footage.

This is interesting, but IMO, it works better in small bits of Flash animation that's quickly downloaded.

Not to say I wouldn't be up for it, though. :D

Is it possible to make a flash and then just convert to a video? Would that make a difference? (this was just an idea after all)

You can, I think. (If you can convert video to flash, why not the other way around?)

That might work. :)

If you guys are still interested in this idea, we can get it started. I found a software that can convert swf to avi. This will hopefully get more people into the idea. If there are any flash makers out there who would like to participate, all you have to do is post (just as soon as I set things up). How about it?

Bah, if it means using flash I'm going to have to drop. I'm absolutely terrible in flash. :(
Unless I can work a way around using flash for my segment(s)..?

I'm fine with whatever you can come up with.
