Adrenaline Rush (Interest Gauge)
Idea: Tired of those episodes on anime where there is 25 minutes of talking and 5 minutes of action? When you start up a DVD for example from ADV films, they have trailers and then a short action packed video of a lot of animes set to fast paced electronic music. I was watching this and then it hit me. Why not make an MEP with some people using fast paced fighting sources and intense electronic music then?! End result: 15-30 minute MEP with so much action you will have a seizure.
These would be the basic rules if this MEP gains the interest needed:
1. Tracks are 30-60 seconds maximum.
2. I don't mind overused sources but The same people from a source cannot be used twice. (For example: If Naruto is used once early in the amv in a fight against Sasuke then those 2 are excluded from the rest of the MEP but the other characters from naruto are ok.)
3. No multi source clips aloud, the idea is to have everyone use different people anyways.
4. Editing must be tight, intense, and contain lots of motion, If you got a clip that is 5 seconds long and they are just standing around then this MEP is not for you.(It's action for gods sake.)
5. No Dialogue! Things like screaming, grunts, roars, etc.. That can relate to action is ok I suppose as long as you use them wisely but I'd prefer you go with out them if you can.
6. I probably haven't said it enough yet so the Music must be fast paced and electronic. (Perfect example being dragonforce or 1200Mics, There are tons of sources for this kind of music so get to searching.)
7. Music must be fast paced. If you have some doubts as to whether an audio track is fast enough simply PM a downloadable link to me and i'll let you know. (I reserve the right to reject your portion if I don't consider it action packed or fast enough.)
8. There are no limits on the action type: Guns, swords, robots, they are all acceptable. (... No hentai... I don't care if you can make hentai action, It's still a no.)
9. I don't mind gore, or blood but keep in mind this will be uploaded onto the org so until someone comes along and say's they will provide hosting, make sure you don't go overboard.
Lastly examples are easier to understand then these fricken rules:
Example.Mp4.Zip
This is my track and its uncompleted obviously, but I just want people to have an idea of what I am expecting from everyone... I'd rather you NOT download it but I feel I can avoid tons of criticism or questions on my rules this way. Obviously you can use whatever FX you feel necessary.
I will be more descriptive with this post on final copy rules and the such after I realize this mep has enough interest. I want atleast 15 people before this sets off.
One last thing for those people that are iffy about this cause of audio transitions... In most cases electronic music has it's own transitional points in the beat where it stops and changes it's rhythm, obviously you would pick a fast section of the song between 2 transitional points that is no longer then 60 seconds. When I receive Everyone’s track I'll use these points to make a smooth complete track. It's hard to explain but if you watch my example... You can hear the transitional point in the beginning.
Claiming: This project is still gathering interest but you can start claiming your anime, etc... Claim by posting like this pleas...
This is mine for example:
Anime: Jubei 2
Characters: Jubei and Jubei (Yes both of them are called Jubei)
Artist: Dragonforce
Song: Through The Fire And Flames
*Claims:*
(Member name - anime - characters - artist - song)

Not quite sure what your implying. Is that an actual MEP or is that some kind of music genre or something... you lost me.

Here, this may help a few people. Plus it's even got some artists on it that I like.

I see... Well, since I don't see much of a difference from the 2 genres (I read them up on the wiki) I guess both work. You say there is a big difference but I don't see it. Either way if it relates to dragonforce, 1200 mics, aphex twins, infected mushroom, juno reactor, crystal method, prodigy etc... The last 3 are cutting it close to the edge on tempo though.
Hope that helps.

i don't know where to find licensed mp3s for download , since i'm always getting latest Electro from Dj of club which i'm goint to always. i may suggest you to check some of "D. Ramirez" or "Tocadisco" mixes. those are some of most popular Electro Dj's in the world. as for D'n'B check, then try Aphrodite, and then you'll see the difference. D'n'B is never slow paced, not as Electro-which some times is slow, but very hypnotizing ^^ if you want you can search some of these samples on the net.

Well, I'd rather you save me the hassle and just find a fast paced song you want to use. After you do you can just pm me a link to get it from or send it to me over aim and i'll let you know what I think.rapture16 wrote:i don't know where to find licensed mp3s for download , since i'm always getting latest Electro from Dj of club which i'm goint to always. i may suggest you to check some of "D. I'm guessing since you know about 1200 mics (They are one of my favorites) then you allready know what I want to see from people anyways. It's up to you just let me know via pm if you have any doubts about your songs.
