Taking it lowtech? Project Stop The Motion

Post by OtakuForLife » Fri Jul 10, 2009 9:58 am

I have had an idea for a video involving a mix of stop motion, flash and aftereffects..
But am too much of a coward to do it on my own. That's where you folks come in, the idea is to have numbers on the project so the chances will be much higher for it's success. Here's the main idea for you people who are still reading this, is in the simplest way possible . Stills are printed out and cut into paper cut outs. Then moved on background made of other stills via motion effects and paths. Then the main footage is cut just like an amv creating a music video (err somehow) out of this footage. The reason why anyone would want to do such a thing? Imagine the things you can do with paper.. Almost endless overlaying and effects that can be both low tech and high tech. Now how do you setup for something like this is also non-traditional... There are both high-tech and Low-tech elements to this... Obliviously there is a cutting team and scanning team. Then a master of flash, AE or both who setups the paths and effects. Then there's a group of people who proof and look for bugs. Well this is the idea and even if it never hits fruition, I would like to have mentioned it somewhere and inspire someone maybe.

Cool idea. I don't think I'll be contributing but I like the concept.
