No Excuses 2: [Interest Gauge]
[Title name pending, of course]
Ok guys, as the co-coordinator of No Excuses, I really liked where that project went with its concept.. So therefore, this project is a blatant rip off of No Excuses, but with a few new changes [approved by Douggie, who I must say "thanks!" again to for letting me do this]. For the general idea of the project, check HERE.
The few changes are, of course:
1) Longer editing segments [Each track will be different times, ranging from 5 seconds to 8 seconds] [Average cut time being 8 and under seconds]
2) A centralized "theme" and editing motif.
3) Given 1-2 days for editing and uploading.
4) Tracks must fit the theme ; tracks that do not will be kicked.
5) Flowcharts and cheesecake? Doubled!
The few things that stay the same...
1) Dates will be PRE-SET and you must edit on your days. NO EXCUSES!
2) Order will be determined based on when you signed up. Swapping dates is allowed, but you have to let me know AHEAD of time.
3) Don't have a video by deadline? You're skipped. Period.
I don't plan on starting this until AFTER Christmas, but I wanted to see if enough interest will be gaged before I start marking timestamps of audio sources.

This one seemingly addresses the issues of the first one, though the longer tracks might will likely make it come out less interesting.

Ohh, I'm in, just because of fun I think it's a quite good idea, but this project needs a theme, love, fight, cars, fun scenes, dance... And those NO EXCUSES might can be one of the best MEP of 2010. I like Code's details! Kick the editor if the video sux.

I also want to join again, why not? First Vol. was fun but really short. I think editors should edit at least duble or triple length (4-6 sec/track). 48 frames are mostly not enough for fill your idea into that shape. And yes, Vol 2 would need an organized theme pallette where editors can pick up their faved one which one to be edited etc.
And yes, kick out the lazy editor or the delaying submitted / not fitting track (except if it was resuleted by some techniqual issues - no net, hardware., software error)
Two days of asylum for submission instead of 1 day sounds fine.

I am interested, but lack of flowchart makes me worry.

Mirko, I guess I failed to mention it [Sanchez talked to me about this on MSN too], but all I'm really doing is giving myself breathing room when I cut the tracks. I seriously doubt that any of them would last 30 seconds. In fact, I did a quick listen through on the first two or three songs I was considering, and none of them were longer than 8 seconds in relality. IN fact, the longest one was the "intro" to the song, which I think that whoever does it first needs more flow and continunity than just a few seconds to really get it going.mirkosp wrote:This one seemingly addresses the issues of the first one, though the longer tracks might will likely make it come out less interesting.
Kyssifur, I'm more than happy to take suggestions, but in reality it will be a decision made between probably 2 or three people.
And Chez, I ain't doing an awesome flowchart until we actually get to the actual thread.
Please, bring up any concerns any of you might have. I'm all ears.

OK, first I ask you to give us some instructions about the style of the song you imagine. Instrumental? Metal? Hip-Hop? English, spanish, japanese language, etc. I think it's important to know, because in this project, the first step is to choose the song, i think.
